  1. Oh wow, I've been had! Nah, doesn't make much of a difference, I still think it's worth what I'm paying for it. :)

But just out of curiosity, what's your source for saying that there are 50/25? Because I asked Duncan about it a while ago, and his reply was that he thought there were no more than 10 made (yet he didn't know the exact number), and it looked to me as this seller on eBay knew what he was talking about since he mentioned to whom these 5 copies was given to. Not calling you a liar! Just curious!

  2. I'm so excited I just had to come on here and make a new thread about it:

I just won the rejected test pressing of Snuff's "Reach" album on eBay. It has a different mix and track listing than the released version, and it's out of 5, so it's pretty damn unique. Being a Snuff collector, I had basically settled with the fact that I would never ever own this.

I am shaking. This is quite possibly the highlight so far in my record collecting "career". I've never spent so much money on a record before, but right now I don't even care. Holy shit, I need a drink...

Now I just need to find that damn "Gandara and friends" 7".

  3. I tried Hoegaarden a few weeks ago, but to me (and my friends) it tasted like a really bland beer. Seemed like a really watered-out beer that didn't really taste too much of anything at all. And yet I keep hearing from a lot of people that it's supposed to be a really good beer. What the hell? Is there something wrong with me and my friends?

Tonight I've had Erdinger, Vedett (x3), Alhambra 1925 and San Miguel. All great beers in my opinion. :)

  4. In "Because of the shame" I totally misheard "...with tears in her eyes" as "...with tears in Hooters" Ooops. (To my defense, I wasn't paying attention to the lyrics, I just kinda registered that Hooters line. So I figured it was some sort of break-up song, haha)

I approve of this album. I do have a suspicion that it may not stand the test of time though. But for now, I am digging it.

  5. My ALMOST complete Mike Hale collection. The only thing missing is (as far as I know) the test pressing for the split with Chris Wollard :

  6. For someone who started losing interest in The Hold Steady just as I discovered the genius of Franz Nicolay's solo stuff, I can't really claim that I'm too bummed out. In fact, if this means he will focus more on his solo career, then I'm actually pretty excited! But yeah, I understand that Hold Steady fans are saddened by this news.

Oh, and Andy, I just received both copies of his 10" not too long ago. I can see how on all parts this record was made with love and care. Everything about it is fantastic! :D
