When the whirlwind of orders has passed, I'd really appreciate some time and understanding in taking care of my order. Despite following instructions, I've made no progress and haven't gotten a constructive response, which is a bit frustrating.

Weird seeing my name in there. The tracking DW sent me is still only in the label created stage. Wonder how they'll handle this? I'm sure I'll get the contents of my order one way or another from them.

Glad I kinda know what's up. Thanks doom.

Preaching numbers is very tasteless. I have 10 times the amount of Twitter followers- however I can throw that out there because I know for a fact everything I Tweet is pure garbage and nothing I'm necessarily proud of. I don't like seeing anyone relentlessly catch shit around here, but you don't even make an effort to be a 'tight bro,' you just act like we're all a bunch of idiots and talk down to everyone when they question your behavior. I don't care about the Deja Entendu record shit, what bothers me is that you listed RSD titles on Discogs for a very specific price then tried to act like it was an accident. Nobody here is as naive as you think they are and that what's pissing me off, especially because I gave you the benefit of the doubt so many times in the past.

He's just a symptom of the sickness of his generation unfortunately. They're terminally ill.

Also, I think I'm finally going to say it: I think most people on this board are a bunch of ridiculous fucking turds for their own specific reasons. I still like some of you in spite of it, though.

People flipping stuff sucks; no shit, right? But someone selling something months or years down the line doesn't come off as flipping to me, especially if they only have the one copy and they're sick of it taking up space.

People selling something within a week after it comes out, specifically asking for an inflated price is shitty...but equally as shitty are the people who just bitch. and bitch. and biiiiiitch about it. We all get it. People who flip records are assholes.

Kess, you're a turd. Just my opinion, but it's not because you're a flipper. I couldn't give two shits about that anymore. I just think you come off as an over-privileged, possibly misogynistic dude that tries waaaaay too hard to let people know he loves music. **News flash** Most people like music.

Edit: Do I care what you think about this? No. Should you care what I think about you? Don't care.

    Legal nerd alert.
It falls under a concept called an invitation to treat. There's no contract, and no obligation for them to sell to you at the advertised discount. The terms aren't specific enough for there to be a contract (e.g. shipping is not addressed, and it's unclear if it applies to only one item).

Magnolia Electric Co. - Trials & Errors

A couple of "standard" tracks, a few tunes that hadn't been released when the album was recorded, and 3 songs that have never seen studio releases. Covers both late Songs:Ohia era early MECo. I spent a few years looking for this, and then right after I won a 3:00AM eBay auction, it was repressed. But now everyone can have it! Currently listed at $15.15 at Amazon, which is a fucking steal: http://www.amazon.com/Trials-Errors-Vinyl-MAGNOLIA-ELECTRIC/dp/B0006SNL3E/ref=sr_1_1_twi_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1425922071&sr=8-1&keywords=trials+and+errors

So if a seller says they're not responsible for loss or damage if the BUYER CHOOSES to not pay for more expensive shipping, the seller has to be responsible? That doesn't make sense.

If the buyer isn't an idiot, they shouldn't agree to those terms if they literally don't agree with those terms.

That being said, if it's an expensive item, I don't give the buyer an option not to have insurance added. And as a buyer, I'll refuse to pay over a certain amount unless the seller insures it (on my dime of course).

Everyone wants to save a few bucks and then bitch and whine when they the record doesn't show up because USPS is not at all reliable.

Here's the first single from the album. I love this song. I've constantly had it stuck in my head since I saw them play it last year.

Acting like Discogs is guaranteed to have the info he's looking for is hilarious. Its like Wikipedia for records.

All these newjack collectors who are more concerned about the collectability and "investment" of their records is what is marring and shit-smearing THE HOBBY!!!

It used to be that records were to listen to and enjoy...now it's seen as a collector's item and to be hoarded to profit later on. Much like comic books and baseball cards back in the day.

Next thing you know there'll be some hair-brained idea for a vinyl grading company like the CGC for comic books. Send us your records, we'll grade them since that's all you care about and encase them in lucite for you to frame and never listen to at all.

(And if anyone does come up with that idea...I thought of it first damnit!)

Threads like this make me never want to sell records again. Between folks who would lose their shit over a VG- record being graded as a VG+ and people who log into their accounts online minutes after making a purchase and being incredulous that "IT HASNT SHIPPED YET" we are getting a little out of hand.
Let's dial back the entitlement and just clean a record before we play it. Meanwhile, stop checking your tracking every hour and wait for it to show up. Add a little spice into your life.
Unless, of course, you're talking about extraordinarily rare records that are setting you back $1K+ (but I suspect most in this thread are looking for a Title Fight record or something...)

A few months ago, I sold a poster on eBay. The bidding went up extremely higher than I was expecting. I was paid right away and shipped the item. USPS lost it for a week, but it ended up getting there (100 miles away) within 12 days. (tracking proves it was dropped off at the post office the day after the auction ended). The day before he got it, he asked for a refund and said he didn't want to wait any longer and accused me of never sending it out. After he got it, I thought the story was over.

Now that it's been several weeks, a few more of the same posters start popping up on ebay. They sell for about half what this one sold for. A week later, he emails me and says he's going to send it back and he'd like a refund because there's a scratch on it. I told him there was no scratch.

Then he opened a case with ebay. I called ebay, told them the whole story. They said I didn't do anything wrong and they would back me. I kept answering his emails for two weeks and we argued about it. I offered him a partial refund.

Then he escalates the claim and says he's done arguing. eBay gives him a "courtesy refund". I get an email from paypal saying there is a $250 hold on my account and that I have two weeks to pay before they send it to collections. Any money that comes into my paypal account during this time automatically goes to ebay. I try to appeal. The poster shows up on my doorstep. eBay tells me there's nothing I can do. I can either pay or not pay. If I choose to not pay... collections yada yada yada.

So yeah. They can take the money out of your pocket. At least the guy sent the poster back.

Which by the way, there was nothing wrong with.

    Fuck that guy.
