  1. I swore I'd never give in to one of these subscription services, but Tidal is too hard to say no to.
  2. I think it's straight black, but an official US release, which the recent reissue never got (was import-only as far as I know).
  3. Damn - guess that means my list got borked. oh well, nothing I HAD to have... will chase the AiC 7" on Discogs. Thanks for that.
  4. Did anyone else do a Strictly Discs wishlist this year? I usually throw a few items in my request list and they usually get back to me about a week before RSD to request payment details. Haven't heard from them yet and my entire request has been wiped out on the site... wondering if anyone else experienced the same.
  5. Ordered Silent Hill snowfall and Evil Dead 7"... first Mondo orders in forever (Twin Peaks I think). Pretty stoked.
  6. Amoeba's pretty good, but you have to be quick on the draw there.
  7. I just preordered this on Amazon, not realizing it was UK RSD release. Maybe we're just getting a regular release in the States: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00288AXSG
  8. I have the pressing of this from 2012 and it's not bad at all. Didn't even realize it was a boot when I bought it (the original press from 1971 goes for $500+ depending on the shape). But, yeah, RSD folks should be more cautious about the labels they allow in.
  9. Cool. Officially sitting it out this year... first time I've missed a RSD. I'll order that AIC 7" from Discogs in a couple months, but I'll be sure to support my local stores on Sunday post-RSD.
  10. Two Bowie releases from Hoffman forum: David Bowie: Cracked Actor (Live Los Angeles, '74)(3LP)(Record Store Day Exclusive)A previously unreleased live recording from Los Angeles on 5th September, 1974, this was a pivotal gig in the transition between the Diamond Dogs tour and the Philly Dogs tour. Produced by David Bowie and mixed by Tony Visconti at Human Studios, NYC in October/November 2016, 3LP with 6th etching on the 6th side.David Bowie: BOWPROMO (GEM Promo LP)(1LP Vinyl Box)(Record Store Day Exclusive)In August 1971, David Bowie's manager Tony Defries had 500 promo LPs pressed to secure him and other Mainman artist Dana Gillespie a record deal. This promo album, featuring seven songs by David on side A and five by Dana Gillespie on the flip, is often being referred to as the BOWPROMO white-label album. The LP came in generic white outer and inner sleeves and had no printed labels, so its matrix number (BOWPROMO 1A-1/1B-1) is the only way to safely identify it. This Record Store Day release faithfully replicates the original promo, with Bowie's seven tracks on one side, plus five exclusive Bowie prints.
  11. Real excited for this, but the last 2 white records I've received from Sub Pop were noisy as hell. May wait on a black one for this.
  12. That Alice in Chains 7" is pretty good, but nothing else jumping out at me. Will probably grab off Discogs and sleep in this year.
  13. 500 makes sense for that Pearl Jam release given the Singles soundtrack comes out a month later. Not many people will want both - only obsessives. Real curious about that Copper Blue 3LP and what's on it. I love my Box of Sugar, but could always add more if there's vault material to be un-archived.
  14. This is great - I don't want that Lazarus cast recording, because I don't want to hear anyone else sing these songs, but really wanted these new tracks on vinyl.
  15. That's good news - they must have updated the story since I first posted. I could use a back-up of Chrome.
  16. I love the movie, but I'm totally willing to admit being blinded by nostalgia. I was in high school when it came out and this music was my life. It was weird seeing it being pulled into popular culture.
  17. yeah Marriages rule. and both of her solo records are epic, album of the year stuff.
