  1. Thanks! $76.94US including shipping to Canada after discount. Not bad at all. Here's my referral link in case they are one time use: https://share.thinkgeek.com/x/KvCiJc
  2. They're up on Hydra Head for $25. Also available in bundles. https://hydrahead.merchtable.com/music/vinyl/pre-order-isis-wavering-radiant-vinyl-2xlp-ships-late-january-2017#.WE45LuYrJEY
  3. Cartridge is an ADC like these: https://www.google.ca/search?q=adc+cartridge&rlz=1C1CAFB_enCA670CA670&espv=2&biw=1366&bih=643&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjPie7fus7MAhVMxmMKHaf9DdEQ_AUIBigB#tbm=isch&q=adc+qlm+cartridge
  4. For those looking for pricing comparisons between deluxe editions here's what I paid including shipping for each on release day in Canadian funds: In Rainbows: $100 The King Of Limbs: $48 A Moon Shaped Pool: $112 I usually wait until I have the record to listen to an album but I doubt I can wait with this one.
  5. Ordered. I recently bought a TV that was more expensive than this box set. I'll be lucky if I have it for more than five years. This box set I will have forever. Easy decision.
  6. Yep, I stop at Blueprint every time I'm in Lethbridge or passing through. Good prices and super friendly staff.
  7. Did you go to a bank or a broker? I'm working on a similar start-up with two partners. We're about a week away, still learning. Send me a PM if you have any questions or wanna discuss anything.
  8. Interesting... I just finished my first listen. It's a great album and sounds great too. I didn't have any noise issues from the scratches either. Here's a shitty picture:
  9. I just received my shipment. Both copies (one for a friend) I received aren't splatter. Not like I really care but curious if others who ordered the red/black splatter ended up getting red/black. I'm just about listen but I'm expecting a little noise because it looks like the records are a little scratched from shifting in the paper sleeves.
  10. For Canadians wanting to preorder, this works out to be $10 cheaper than the US version.
  11. When can we expect the pressing info for the Troll 2 soundtrack?
  12. If this poop conversation continues, I'm gonna run out of upvotes. Another from the can: They're waiting patiently for me to get back into bed for this. It's hard to tell but Alice is inches away from my face.
  13. Awesome! My wife and I moved here five years ago, we're both born and raised in Victoria. We love it here but it took some adjusting, especially the dry climate. Prepare yourself for static issues. I miss The Turntable in Victoria - Ernie is the shit. One of the nicest guys I've ever met working in a record store. When we first moved here, I checked out all of the local record stores including a couple not mentioned: CD Trader, Heritage Music and Posters, Hot Wax Records, Lukes Drug Mart and The Inner Sleeve. I liked The Inner Sleeve the most and eventually started working there. Since then, our owner opened a vintage audio/record store called The Audio Spot. That's where I work now. I've been working on adding more metal to The Audio Spot but not a lot of punk. My order of preference but since I'm biased towards The Inner Sleeve and The Audio Spot, I'll leave them out: Sloth - for my taste, I'd say the best new vinyl selection and good prices. Used isn't that great though. The store is probably the cleanest and most inviting and it's in a great area. If you like poutine, check out The Big Cheese Poutinerie. Tubby Dog is also just a couple of blocks away. Melodiya - not as inviting as Sloth, you need to walk through a comic store and I'm not a fan of their setup. Still good selection and prices. They're used vinyl is much better than Sloth too. Staff are friendly. Lukes Drug Mart - best new vinyl prices in town, fairly limited though unless you're looking for most of the same records as everyone else. Used selection is bad but apparently getting better. Personally, I can't go into this store but that's just me. Other people love it. Hot Wax Records - probably the best location in the city. I really love the Kensington area. I haven't been here since I first moved to Calgary though and I hear their selection is getting worse. CD Trader - inside a mall, all used. Best to know your stuff before going in here. Prices are all over the place and no consistency at all. But you can find some really good deals because of it. Also, the guy watches your every move. Recordland - I've only been here once and that was five years ago. I spent five minutes in there and couldn't stand it. My skin was crawling, felt so confined. Now, I have heard good things about this store since and I know some people really like it. Their new vinyl prices are good but I've heard their used vinyl prices are going up. They do have the most used records in the city, there is no denying that. If you have lots of time and aren't claustrophobic then you'll want to go here. Heritage - as I'm typing this, I can't believe I've never been here. Judging by what customers say about them, I'd say they are definitely worth checking out. I'm pretty sure they are open late some nights and from what I hear, it sounds like a cool store. Every single one of these stores is worth checking out if you have time. They all offer something unique and of course, stop by The Audio Spot and say hi. I'm at the store Tuesday-Saturday although I'm off today.
  14. Haha! My name is Peter. My username is a reference to the way Lawrence addresses his neighbour, Peter, from Office Space. My wife's name is Anne, same as Peter's cheating ex-girlfriend. So far, my wife has not cheated on and left me.
  15. I think these two tie into each other. I have the some of the same albums on black and white vinyl, white and splatter etc. In these cases, they sound identical because the manufacturer used virgin vinyl. It is easier to get away with using recycled vinyl for coloured pressings because it is less noticeable in appearance. It's fairly easy to identify recycled black vinyl, it looks like there are scratches on the record but it's just inconsistency in how the vinyl material melts together. Recycled vinyl became more common in the 80's.
  16. Their Mr Bungle reissues are also garbage. EDIT: I didn't know Plain and 4 Men With Beards were connected. Good to know!
  17. I was finally able to checkout with Wyldstyle. I had to refresh my cart quite a few times to get rid of some items and make changes but I have a PayPal receipt and order number.
  18. This is helpful but still missing comments, tips, etc. http://www.vinylhub.com/
