Two labs. 1 black, 1 yellow. Casey and Oscar. My wife says she's third in line after those two. -

What's your best find?
shakes8993 replied to x2stepprogramx's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I disagree. I don't have any automatic message saying that this is here or that is here. Finding something really rare and at a good price on the net involves daily visits to multiple vinyl related websites. Some are sales based, some are forum based, but the hours spent online trying to find something are just as real as if I went to several B&M stores. -
What's your best find?

Depends with the Discogs comment. A lot of people don't realize what they have and combined with some less informed ebayers, you can get the perfect storm on "best finds" if it's a monetary thing. Geez, half the time you can make some pretty good coin just buying off Discogs and flipping on eBay. I have numerous purchases from Discogs that I could probably at least double, even triple my money on if I wanted. Of course, I don't want to, but the point stands. -
Awesome.. wife picked me up the new Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros - Here

Not sure if this has been posted but found these amazingly simple things that are great to hang your album art (if you are into that). No glass, relatively cheap and easy to interchange so you can continue to play them. Don't have a pic of my setup handy, but it's pretty cool. Only thing I wish was if it was a little more sturdy as its made of plastic, but then again, it only has to hold the weight of vinyl. I'm just being picky, I guess. http://recordsonwalls.com/

I guess you could say it's mostly been a ska month for me. Seems like a lot but the 7"s were mostly less than $3-4. I just really wanted all the 2 Tone 7"s. Dammit. I hate this. Very tempted, but don't know if I can spare the cash. I was literally gonna buy a Prince LP yesterday. -
post your set-up thread
shakes8993 replied to salparadise's topic in Turntables & Other Audio Equipment
This is the desk and the stereo area. Different view. I like my new record hangers. Basically, just two grooves that you put the albums in and out of. Easy access and allows me to display them and play them without too much hassle. Little DVD area. Mostly just music DVDs and TV series I know it looks like its on an angle but it isn't. I was trying to get the whole thing in by standing on a chair. The turntable. The stand is an old radio that my dad had. I took out the guts and set up the receiver in there as well as a speaker. I have a piece of oak separating the turntable from the tape deck. I rarely use the tape deck so at this point it's pretty much aesthetics . Close up of the table. Its a Pro-Ject Xpression. Speed box is there and the black thing in the centre is the puck. As well, the required/standard Discwasher. -
