  5. Debut album from this consistently brilliant punk rock super-group! Featuring members of The Leif Ericsson and The Great St. Louis, Stay Clean Jolene's pedigree speaks for itself. It should therefore come as no surprise to learn that their debut, self-titled, album is a masterclass in how to pen perfect, anthemic, heart-on-sleeve punk-rock in 2014. While many bands of this ilk are more concerned with what's going on across the pond at the latest Fest than with the rich legacy of homegrown legends like Leatherface and Snuff, SCJ play homage to the UKs finest while building on the incredible foundation of their previous bands output to produce an album greater than the sum of it's parts. From the stomping opener, "Concrete Block" to the already classic "Record" (a song featured on the bands' debut 7" but re-recorded here), this is an album that rushes headlong, beginning to end, with a sense of confidence you seldom here these days. These 4 lads know exactly what they're doing and Stay Clean Jolene is the breathtaking result. At the end of the day, it's an album so good that labels like Dead Broke, Drunken Sailor, Rad Girlfriend, Eager Beaver (all releasing the vinyl version) and co-releasers of the CD, Just Say No To Government Music, jumped on board without a moments hesitation. 7. Yeah it sucks, I'm sorry...the only thing i can say is I have kept the cost of the 12" right down, it's as cheap as it possibly can be. Probably no good for you, but it works out way better the more you buy Thanks
  8. Boston Anarcho Punks No Sir I Won't return with their 4th record, Shit and in my opinion their best. Made up of ex and current members of Surrender Libyans, Witches With Dicks, Shithead, Brain Killer and Foreign Objects. 5 brand new songs of relentless, political punk. Where NSIW wear their Flux Of The Pink Indians/ Conflict and Crass influences on their sleeves, they breathe new life into what had maybe become a stale genre. No Sir, I Won’t play revolutionary anarcho-punk without plagiarism, but developed into a modern form. This is anarcho-punk at it’s finest, music like this makes you want to change the world. Exhilarating and thought-provoking, if you don’t like a message in your music this is not for you. No Sir I Won't might just be one of the most important bands around. 100 Brown Vinyl/ 400 Black Vinyl. Each record comes with a download code. http://drunkensailorrecords.limitedrun.com/products/535637-no-sir-i-wont-shit-12-drunken-sailor-records-drunken-sailor-040 https://drunkensailorrecords.bandcamp.com/album/shit-ep
  9. Baby Ghosts, are a punk band with roots in the Provo/SLC areas. With their second full length release “Maybe Ghosts,” Baby Ghosts continue with their creative and quirky punk tunes. With a lo-fi sound that fills each track with a inviting fuzziness, Baby Ghosts deliver another fantastic combination of it’s garage sound, stylistic vocals, and dynamic atmosphere. The point that keeps coming back with “Maybe Ghosts” is the atmosphere around the 12 tracks. The tracks are pretty straightforward in composition, but what makes Baby Ghosts unique is the nature of the songs. In simple terms, this album will rule your life. THIS IS A PRE-ORDER AND WILL SHIP AROUND THE SECOND WEEK IN AUGUST, BUT AS SOON AS YOU BUY THE LP I WILL SEND YOU A DOWNLOAD CODE, BECAUSE...THE FUTURE. Released on Drunken Sailor/ Dirt Cult/ Hip Kid and Lost Cat records Limited (and I mean REALLY limited!) amount on Blue or Red Vinyl http://drunkensailorrecords.limitedrun.com/products/531198-baby-ghosts-maybe-ghosts-lp-drunken-sailor-records-this-a-pre-order Streaming on Punk News http://www.punknews.org/bands/babyghosts Stream/ Download on my bandcamp http://drunkensailorrecords.bandcamp.com/album/maybe-ghosts

  12. This is now up in the store http://drunkensailorrecords.limitedrun.com/products/529791-the-fur-coats-the-league-of-extraordinary-octopuses-lp-drunken-sailor-records You might not know Marc Ruvulo, but you can betcha sweet bottom that you know someone else who does. Tip a toe into the waters of Chicago’s punk rock scene and see where the ripples overlap: No Empathy. Das Kapital. The Traitors. Johann’s Face Records. Bucket O’Blood. Not household names, no, but that’s not why you got into this whole punk rock mess, was it? Keystones. Vital parts. You see where I’m going with this. The Fur Coats is Marc’s latest project, and it’s a different focus. It’s still punk rock, but funnier. Goofier, even (without being stoopid, so wind that raised eybrow down a few notches, you goddam bores). This is powerpop as it was always meant to be: all hook, no fuss. From the brass-inflected ludicrousness of the title track to the yearning (yeh, yearning) melody of Don’t Make Me Beg; from the glass-waving I Drank A Beer to the rollicking brashness of Tell Me Something I Don’t Already Know… pop-punk just like your teenage self swore s/he’d love forever. Incidentally, your teenage self thinks your grown-up self is a fucking loser. Wanna prove ‘em wrong? Let The League Of Extraordinary Octopuses into yr life. Get to know Marc a little. What the fuck else are you gonna do?
  13. The Chicago-based band Earth Girls featuring Liz Panella- guitar/vocals (Libyans, Siamese Twins, Broken Prayer), Jeff Rice- drums (Daylight Robbery), and Joey Kappel- bass (Broken Prayer, Boilerman), began in early 2013 following two previous incarnations as The Waifs (2008) and Embarrassed Teens (2011). Bonding over a shared love for both hook-laden garage / pop-punk and energy drinks, Liz and Jeff began practicing incessantly that summer, writing both new material as well as refining songs that had made it through the ranks of the two previous bands. Along with Joey (who had logged time in Embarrassed Teens), Earth Girls finished up writing the songs that would make up their demo that summer. However, the band held off on recording as they worked on securing a second guitar player. Struggling with a revolving cast of second guitar players (who have included Kale Mouser, Vince Aguilar, and Nic Allred), they opted to record as a trio, with Liz handling both rhythm and guitar tracks. Their first recording session consisted of nine songs, including the five song demo and four songs that would go on to make up their debut EP, "Wrong Side of History." With both a demo release and first show planned for Feburary of 2014 at Engine Haus in Chicago, Earth Girls were also making plans to self-release the "Wrong Side of History" EP later that spring when they were approached by Grave Mistake Records who had recently heard the demo and EP tracks and expressed interest in working with the band. Drunken Sailor Records quickly got on board for a UK version of the EP, and "Wrong Side of History" will see it's official release on June 17th, 2014. This is the UK/ Europe version. 300 on Blue/ White mix. 17. only 2 test press covers left, thanks for all the orders stream/ download here http://drunkensailorrecords.bandcamp.com/album/a-page-of-punk-werewolves-on-motorcycles-japanese-tour-7
  18. Released to coincide with their joint Japanese tour which starts Friday 11th October. A page Of Punk recorded their 7 brand new tracks on their recent successful UK tour, this band can do no wrong in my eyes, the best punk band to come out of Japan in a long time, their live gigs were amazing. These songs don't are typical APOP, fast, short, melodic and to the point. Maybe overshadowed on the first split between these bands, Werewolves On Motorcycles produce 4 of their finest songs for this release, these tracks are heavy, dirty and punk as fuck. Unfortunately these will probably the last songs they commit to vinyl as the guitarist is moving to Japan. Released on Black vinyl and in for different coloured sleeves (Yellow, Purple, White and Blue), there are also 15 Test Pressing sleeves up in the store due to people asking for them. All 7"s come with insert and download card. There is also 20 packs with 4 singles with each of the 4 different coloured sleeves for a reduced price. Stream it here http://drunkensailorrecords.bandcamp.com/album/a-page-of-punk-werewolves-on-motorcycles-japanese-tour-7 Buy it here http://drunkensailorrecords.limitedrun.com/products/519529-a-page-of-punk-werewolves-on-motorcycles-japanese-tour-7-drunken-sailor-records-drunken-sailor-034 Anyone who has ordered the Husker Du Tribute 7" or the Murmurs LP, there has been a delay at the plant (they are being pressed in the US), fingers crossed they will be pressed at the start of next week and then the awesome Dead Broke will ship them to me. Sorry it's taken longer than we though, but sometimes these things happen. X. Thanks Julian
