I have the Just Stay 7"
How much did it end up going for on ebay? Last time I checked it, it was at $20
-
There's lots on st. Marks..
Kims has high prices for new but check out their used section...the people there don't know shit and you can grab some rare stuff on the cheap...they also have a great indie selection.
Then sounds its cool...I usually only get promo cd's for 88 cents there...they have a very limited vinyl selection... its on the same side as kims....up some stairs..it easy to miss.
There's also a small shop across the st from sounds...they've got a great jazz selection...its 99% used cds and records so I'm sure you'll find something...
Basically I start by getting off the 6 train @ astor place and go straight up st marks...hit the 3 record shops and the comic shop then make a right and stop @ love saves the day and check out the sweet vintage toys(really pricey but fun to look @) then make a right down the next st and walk until I hit other music...(which has a great indie selection) upon leving other, I keep walking until I hit thompson st and drop like 70$...I've got a friend who lives on thompson so I generally stop there and have a beer & check out my loot... sometimes I go hitup bleecker records...but they close way early and I'm usually too drunk @ that point to bother.
Enjoy....and have fun...this I find to be the best route...
I'll have to do this route when I go. Unfortunately looks like plans have changed and I may not be going this weekend. I was really bummed.

Has anyone been to Academy Records, Other Music, or Sound Fix?
-
then i think youll do pretty well at either. theyre so close its worth taking the trip to both.
Well i've been to Generation a few times. I'm looking for a good used store in hopes to find some Cap'n Jazz records.
-
Bleecker St. Records is a few blocks from Generation. Im pretty sure its owned by the same people. anyway, theyve got a decent selection downstairs. not as much hardcore/metal/punk and Generation, but probably worth checking out.
im interested in this thread too. i go into the city pretty often and basically only go to generation when im there. looking forward to hearing about some other good ones.
EDIT- oh yeah, the address. 239 Bleecker St
also, the record section downstairs closes like an hour before the actual store. so go to bleecker first, then generation.
I'm looking for "indie" records.
-
I'll be heading into the city for the weekend and I plan on hitting up a record store or two. The only one i've been to so far is Generation Records. Are there any other really good places?
-
No one guess right yet eh?
Either that or Virgil is making us sweat it out.
Yea, is he going to wait til the 30th to announce it either way?
-
like other records...they are the same thing just black w/ blank labels

hmv japan is a greta place for japanese imports, however shipping to the states is like $20- but it only takes like 2 days.
Thanks a lot! I hope you're exaggerating about the shipping a little haha.

Does anyone have the Japanese import of I do perceive. by Owen?
-

Andrew says:

Andrew says:

cindy says:

Andrew says:

So I guess I got the picture of Mike. Also sounds like I will have to order a copy of this on black.
Lucky bastard. Yea the one sleeping on the couch is Mike.

I'm looking for a copy of Cap'n Jazz - Shmap'n Shmazz on CD. Does anyone have this and would be willing to sell it?
Thanks
-
-
any word on a store in the US getting this yet?
I believe polyvinyl will get some.
-
a straight up trade? I dont think so.
Mike > Bob
I may throw in some cash.
-
Can't wait to get this package.
Would you be willing to trade your picture if you get the picture of Mike?
-
I have an idea for a special boarder's only contest. stay tuned!
:Crosses fingers:
Please don't tell me we have to identify a bunch of records from just looking at the color.
-
I finally got this in the mail! It's beautiful!
Only one bad thing. All the preorders were sent out with a #'d picture, half were Bob, the other half were Mike. I was hoping to get the one of Mike, but of course I got the one with Bob. So if anyone ordered this and got the pic of Mike, would you be willing to trade (just the picture).

I just tried to get a job at a record store by me that just went on fire in the Summer and they're re-opening in December. However, they're not looking for anyone for their 5-9 pm shifts, just 10-5 shift, which I can't do because of school.
Congrats on getting the job though!
-
I like to make posters of my favorite albums. I currently have only made one (Owen - At Home With Owen), but I plan to finish up the Owen discog. and do the Cap'n Jazz record. I just get the CD and take it to Staple's and get a big copy made. It looks good.
-
so triple crown is putting out this record?
haha +1
-
I got my copy from Merch Direct today. However my needle on my record player is fucked up, so I can't tell you if there are any skips.
-
Does that one person on here that is trying to get all the Kinsella stuff have all of the stuff you have? I bet not. But I could be wrong.
I do indeed have all those Joan of Arc records.
-
Do you have any sample work and AIM?
goodcore.com - though i didn't do too much there
swaglounge.net - all flash not totally what i would personally do but i had a hand in it
i do web layout daily at work and do dynamic content generation, which would probably be helpful for the zine. i'm not on AIM much but you can email me.
I'll just PM you then.
Owen - I do perceive. (JAPANESE IMPORT CD)
