  1. holy shit this is the first time I've logged in since November '19. time flies, good god

  2. Spotify recommended this album to me a few days ago and I've been listening to it non-stop. Ordered the /400 while there are still copies left, so happy I stumbled upon these fine folks!
  3. Dammit, I really shouldn't be spending on records since I just had a bunch of stuff going on, but this is a great color and if they're never gonna press it again the flipper prices are only gonna go up. I guess there's no better time than now
  4. I also moved a few months ago, and decided that since my two 2x2 Expedits were basically full, it was time for an upgrade. I'm really happy with the new 4x4 Kallax and all of the room I have for expansion! Still not too crazy about having to have my turntable and receiver separate from the shelf, but idk if it would look right having them sitting on top of the Kallax since it's so tall. It would make hooking the speakers up way easier, though... what do y'all think?
  5. Jesus, I just now saw this and am very glad I got the original box set when I did. This whole collection of variants is a monstrosity. Also, my fav cover is also Happiness. Bright and vibrant, matches the sound of the record perfectly.
  6. I've maybe bought six or seven records from Goodwill, mostly classical symphonies that I like and one or two Chuck Mangione albums. Once time I did find a factory sealed copy of an old Christian a-capella Xmas album that I loved in my childhood, that was an awesome nostalgia score but nothing remarkable in terms of "valuable" records. I figure most of my thrifted albums are gonna be more for the nostalgia than the sale anyway. That's just how it is.
  7. That would be an unfortunate Pack And Ship order. Online orders come from actual stores as well as distro centers, and most stores know how to pack a record because every store has LP mailers in the back, but sometimes you get a new associate who's tasked to do Pack And Ship in the morning and doesn't know what they're doing and can't pack something right to save their life. It's annoying af honestly.
  8. That Camila record keeps getting pushed back for some reason, so the Dua Lipa probably got shipped from a store rather than a distribution center since the stores already have Dua in stock.
  9. I only found one copy! Otherwise I would've snatched them all up for anyone who wanted one.
  10. idk if all stores do this, but since I'm my store's resident vinyl guy, I have our sale records marked on the front cover with huge stickers that say how much they are, and they're right next to all of the full price albums. Most of the other UOs I've been to either have them mixed in with full price stuff (which is dumb as hell), or they'll have them in a box or crate off in the sale section. Better than the first way, but they can still get thrashed a bit by rabid sale shoppers. I'm biased but I like my method the best, lol
  11. Just go to Lenox if you can, tbh. The other stores had some sale vinyl, but Lenox had the best selection. I grabbed Thirty Seconds to Mars - A Beautiful Lie and the orchestral recording of the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time OST for $12.50 total (plus a shirt, a phone case, and a pair of Vans at one of the other stores), so it was a pretty good sale on sale for me.
  12. Turns out it's 40% off sale in-store and 40% off home sale online, so if you want records you'll have to find a brick-and-mortar UO.
  13. 40% off on sale items starts tomorrow and goes through the weekend! Check for them rekkids, y'all. (you'll have a much better chance at finding sale records in-store, since the online sale selection is pretty dismal atm) I'm going to all four ATL stores on Friday, mostly for the clothes, but I'm not gonna say no to a few new albums if I find some good ones.
