  1. The two newer songs I have seen them play are fucking great. There is almost a Heartwork era Carcass vibe to some sections in between the punishing black metal. They keep getting better, I cannot wait to hear the new album.
  2. Not sure if you are serious, but Kannon was an RSD first release and had an exclusive color. The Black One repress did as well. And at this point there is at minimum like 3 versions of every SL release (silver anniversary, regular release, and european mailorder) and often many more (looking at you Dopesmoker). When they did that Scream repress a few years ago for RSD I think there were 5 random variants just for RSD. I would bet there will be minimum 5 variants for the Sunn album (RSD, Euro, regular, SL 20th anniversary, and Sunn store exclusive).
  3. Rumor of a single LP of the Grateful Dead's 46 minute Playin' (split over both sides) from the 5/21/74 show recently released in the pacific northwest box.
  4. Like 7 or 8 years ago the talk was that Robotic Empire was going to do the Nirvana discography with a different band doing each full album and Thou was going to tackle In Utero in its entirety. The project then became the various artist albums as released. I also would have preferred Thou just do the whole thing.
  5. Harmon made a satire that went nowhere, it has been addressed in the past. The real issue here are the alt-right trolls dredging this up (they just did it to James Gunn last week) to equate it to people like Roseanne who legitimately got fired for being actively and undeniably racist in her public life. It has nothing to do with Dan Harmon other than creating a false equivalency to undermine people getting questioned and facing consequences for being genuinely terrible people. And Dan Harmon has full acknowledged being a terrible person and worked to atone for it.
  6. I think Get Better is repressing it but their mailorder is very slow. Looks like Sisters in Christ still has it: http://sistersinchrist.space/album/i-have-become-your-pupil/

  8. I hope they cook up something good for the Thou Magus LP this fall on Sacred Bones.
  9. This will be released on vinyl by Raw Sugar records at the end of the month. There will be 2 more EPs this summer, 1 on Community Records and 1 on Deathwish. The Magus album will be on Sacred Bones in August.
  10. I was talking to someone at a local record store on 4/20 and he said they ordered the special version solicited through Third Man because they were offered a 100% refund but he was also solicited through their distributor with it still being a mystery release but he did not initially order those because he could not get a guarantee. Then after they figured out it was sleep he ordered through the distributor and had them early last week. So there probably are a bunch still sitting with distributors or in transit.
  11. Y'all never seen Decline of Western Civilization pt 2?
  12. I have seen them at least once a year since 2011 and they have basically been playing the same 25 minute set with maybe 1 song variation for the last 5 years, except for the occasional all noise show. I love The Body, but I really wish their live show would reflect their rate of releases.
  13. I bet Mr Middle Aged weed identity is LOVING that because of the delay he can have this come out on 420.
  14. Master of Reality is fantastic. It was scary how similar it was to my own life. Loved Wolf in White Van. Just finished Universal harvester last night. Also loved it immensely although I think the hook that it is a horror novel about the weird video tapes sells it short. It is about the isolation of small midwestern towns, escapism, mothers, loss, and grief and how damaging and personal dealing with those things can be. I think there is more of an explanation to be found in the final section than many reviewers seem to give it credit for, but solving the "mystery" really misses the point. Mountain Goats fans should be fine though.
  15. Dive were so goddamn good. I still spin the 1st 7 inch with some regularity. And the Get High demo material. Love that shit.
  16. All the colored versions went to Amrep and Buzz/Mackie. There will be no colored vinyl in the standard sleeves for regular sale. Only the Amrep/Haze versions and the Buzz/Mackie versions. Stag will be coming the same way but the art for Stag is not done yet. At this time there is no plans for more Pricks, just the Haze versions and the Mackie versions that sold on Thursday night.
  17. Kannon 3 is basically Cannon from Domkirke, but shorter.
