Napalm does a Cardiacs song and an original. I think they're both exclusive to this release. It's real good. -

They are not selling the music, they are selling artifacts. Most of the songs already are or will be available on CD. Getting mad about something that is completely unnecessary is pretty silly. Why care what they charge? Why care how much money they make? This is their livelihood and the conceit behind it has been explained ad nauseum. They care about getting the music out, they don't give a shit about formats, they enjoy selling unusual memoribilia and like making money doing what they love. You are not guaranteed to get what you want. -

Melvins covers album on Ipecac out 4/30
Rev. Mike replied to mameeshkamowskwoz's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Yes, I am. I have had conversations with him about this topic. Shit Sandwich was a joke. Running parallel groves of a song backwards and forwards is a joke. That is his humor. But take Prick, he stands behind the "music" fully, the original title (Kurt Cobain and then the renaming) was the joke. Buzz grew up listening to Queen and that is how Melvins play that song, it may be funny how they do it, but he is not gonna put a song on an album that he thinks is shit. These are all songs that they love. -

I love the Queen cover. Buzz has a sense of humor, but he would not release something he thought was shit as a joke. -
selling on discogs to european buyers
Rev. Mike replied to shamrocks's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Yep, with paypal you have to prove delivery to the address, and it has to be the address associated with the paypal account. If you can't do that then buyers win their disputes. Customs forms and registered mail do not help you in that instance. This requires USPS INTL Priority, or Fed Ex, or DHL or whatever. Also, never forget that any items with a value over $250 must be insured or you can lose a claim to paypal, even if you can demonstrate the item was delivered. -

Yea, that is always the case with registered mail, You have to use the brown paper wet tape stuff. -

I was told by a USPS employee that registered only tracks to the sorting facility and not to the address. With paypal you must demonstrate that the item was delivered to the address, which is only available with International Priority. -

I have had "lost" packages to Italy, Russia, and Greece. I don't ship to those places anymore. The only legitimate mail fuck up I have ever encountered was a package destined for Germany that ended up in japan and the disappeared. I have no idea what happened. I did get my insurance claim on that one because I had done USPS Intl Priority (which had tracking) because it was a high dollar item. It took 6 months and many, many phone calls to resolve my claim with the USPS and get my money. I did eventually get the package returned to me 8 months later, it had been all over the world. Pretty bizarre. I currently use Stamps.com for shipping and pay for their insurance instead of USPS. With theirs you only have to wait 30 days to file a claim and you just need something from the buyer stating they did not receive the item (email works) and proof of payment (Paypal receipt). You don't even need tracking for international stuff. The few times I have had to use (on "lost" packages) it I got my check within a few weeks after making the claim. -

You can't play a ticket on a record player, silly. I'll tell you, it's a pretty sturdy ticket though. It's really solid and thick in the center, but the corners, not so much. Fucking amrep and their rip off bullshit, why can't they just make a solid ticket for the kids? -
