  1. He is Legend can't legally do this because they don't own the rights to their own music. T&N did, but they were sold to Capitol. It's similar to when Michael Jackson owned the rights to the Beatles catalog among others and therefore received the royalties etc. from the sale of their music and not the Beatles themselves.
  2. Clams Casino's Instrumental Mixtapes are exactly this and they are so much better than when his compositions are rapped over and ruined. I'm God is probably the most notable example. Compare this: To this:
  3. Their first two albums were released on Tooth & Nail's sub label Solid State. Here's a thread about why none of either labels back catalog is likely to be pressed. http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/86588-tooth-nail-sell-catalog-to-capitol-christian-music-group/page-2?hl=%20tooth%20%20nail
  4. I ordered 4 of version A almost as soon as it went up and my first order shipped this afternoon. In other news I'll have 3 extra copies to sell/trade in the near future of some combination of black and the variant if I get more than one variant.
  5. Really enjoyed the part about the hole in the bottom of the sleeve. Someone needs to tell her it's a picture disc sleeve, it's what they do.
  6. Ya'll think the 7" tracks are on here but with different names as Scogin has done in the past? I'm thinking they are, but could also see them being an exclusive to the Midnight release.
  7. Ordered a blue, we'll see if it actually shows up.
  8. Ordered the single vinyl Zeppelin albums, only 47 after tax. Thanks again for the heads up on this, ordered 3 other records too that I had been meaning to pick up sometime.
  9. I ripped to 320 mp3, as I figured I would rather punt on digital and focus more money on my turntable setup. That being said I still have my CD's and I have those really tall IKEA shelves so they don't take up much room and I can re-rip if I change my mind.
  10. It's not too bad, think Magic is one of the weaker songs on it actually. Just basically sounds like Coldplay making a pop album in 2014, ie lots of synth.
  11. Yeah I've tried listening to it on Spotify and the first 2 tracks are pretty catchy, but i find the rest of the album tedious.
  12. I frigging hate variants, if this was just a /1000, it would probably still be available, but I suppose it still wouldn't last long.
  13. The Mellon Collie CD Reissue is on popmarket.com today for $95 if anyone is still looking for a better deal on this. http://www.popmarket.com/smashing-pumpkins-mellon-collie-and-the-infinite-sadness-deluxe-edition/details/28107655?utm_medium=post&utm_source=facebook&utm_campaign=kp%20partner%20dd%20pm%20sp%2020140317&cid=lg:1839
  14. Sufjan is one of my top favorites and I think I've only listened to Enjoy Your Rabbit maybe twice. The Osso version is definitely better in my opinion, but would much rather see A Sun Came pressed, which I think is pretty underrated.
  15. I bought the regular version of this at Best Buy back when they were stocking vinyl for a while for something like $16.
  16. Not that this is an official announcement by any means, but having heard some murmuring elsewhere about it, and this tweet from Nathan Burke, the bassist at the time, figured it was time to get a topic going. Pretty pumped, as this is my all-time favorite album, also hoping it can find a new audience during this reissue.
  17. Another Best Buy email today, getting pushed back to February 25 now.
  18. I have 3 and they're just the ones currently in print, but not a variant or much of a 7" collector, so I basically 3/4, for me anyway.

  20. Got an email from Best Buy today saying my order of Volume 1 is being pushed back to February. Anyone get a similar notice from Best Buy or somewhere else about this or the other volumes?
