I've also been roasting my own beans as of late. The process and ritual of it is therapeutic, and the coffee doesn't get fresher than that. My friends and family seem to like it enough, so I'm taking some bags of it up to a local farmers market next month. I'll also be brewing on-site. Anyone here make scones? I've been experimenting with recipes, but haven't made any I've fallen in love with yet. I figure it couldn't hurt to bake a batch or two for the market.

I've recently been enjoying some beans I had shipped from Third Coast in Austin. The Ethiopia Yirgacheffe is probably my favorite coffee right now. On a different note, can anyone recommend a dependable burr grinder ideal for espresso?

I second these. I thought the probability of a Garden State pressing this year would be high due to the 10th anniversary of the film release, but we'll see. I can't imagine it not happening with its ranking among soundtracks in regards with the types of folks buying up records these days. The publicity boost for Zach Braff's new film couldn't hurt for a pressing either, especially since the soundtrack for that one is getting a press.

Someone should pick up a copy of that Ruby Suns record. A steal at $6 for such a gem.

The needle wore out on my turntable, so I shoved a sewing needle into the cartridge in place of it. It worked in the sense that it played the record and produced sound over the speakers, but today I shudder at the thought of it. I was probably 11 or so. I'm pretty sure I only ruined a couple of techno/house 12" singles I had using that rig.
