  1. Lush is this years RHP - right down to the outer pizza box There's 3 shops here doing RSD this year and they all open at the same time. Hopefully the local giganto-store which tries to be all things to all men attracts the riff raff and Crosley crowd and my fave store will be quiet enough and is guaranteed to have what I'm after.
  2. Couldn't be bothered with queueing for that length of time. I showed up about an hour and a half before opening time last year, was second in line and got the only RHP box they had. There's always lot's of Bowie fans at the front of queues here. All desperate for the latest 10,000 copy repressing of an old single. I don't think it will be as crazy this year all round. Any of my wants should be easy gets even after RSD.
  3. My Blue variant from the EITS store finally arrived on Saturday. Very mellow vibe on the album but a nice change of pace. Packaging is cool but a bit of a pain. A regular gatefold, potentially with optional cool foldy bits that don't affect anything, and a slipcase over it would even have been preferable. Slimmer package overall than Take Care though so that's a bonus.
  4. Yeah it's definitely silver. Might be the lighting in the photo. Or else it is the signed print equivalent of that blue & black/gold & white dress
  5. Signed copy from Monorail came today. Looks and sounds amazing.
  6. Do it. We Were Promised Jetpacks are supporting also. If you do go let me know if they had the variant please. I'm going to the Dublin show.
  7. Go for the US as it has Change Your Mind instead of Glamorous Indie Rock n Roll.
  8. Damn that tour variant looks great. Seeing them in Dublin so hope I can get one of these then.
  9. Aye I know what you mean. These days they're hitting a good balance between the old sound and the mellower sound I find. Rod Jones' stuff is great and really overlooked. Once saw The Birthday Suit in Belfast and me and my Mrs were the only ones at the show who weren't in/with the band. Do yourself a favour if you haven't already and check out the album Roddy did with John McCusker and Kris Drever. Some excellent scottish indie folk going on and some of Roddy's best vocal work: https://www.discogs.com/Kris-Drever-John-McCusker-Roddy-Woomble-Before-The-Ruin/release/3651218
  10. It's pretty great. I like his solo stuff. I know a lot of old school Idlewild fans hated the more acoustic/mellow vibe but it's all good.
  11. Yes ,Yes 1000 times YES. It bugs the hell out of me that this is missing from my collection. I'd also love the Captain EP to get pressed. W/P was their only major label release so who knows what the story is with rights though. On a side note Roddy is pressing his debut LP 'My Secret Is My Silence' later this year for it's tenth anniversary.
  12. Awesome find. Ordered as fast as I could. About £25 inc shipping to UK so decent pricing. The color choice sounds good too: Smokey Clear.
  13. Ordered the monorail copy earlier when I saw their tweet. Between this and the signed Mogwai LP monorail are doing great stuff.
  14. Here's a few useful older threads on this: http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/104639-a-vinyl-pilgrimage-to-japan-seoul/?hl=tokyo#entry1994669 and http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/118127-record-stores-in-tokyo/?hl=tokyo I went to a few of the Disk Unions, a Recofan and the Shibuya HMV (not like the shit HMV's over here!) and they were all good. Have fun.
  15. Thanks sunkilmoonfan. Ordered right away. Unless paxam has a cool extra I'm happy with that price.
  16. Excellent stuff. Ordered. So much better than any RSD releases announced today.
  17. Hopefully Caldo's newfound partnership with Rough Trade can allow for some pretty painless reissuing of SKM LP's...IF Mark lets them.
