The biggest problem with the Big Cartel checkout system, no doubt.  Otherwise, it's probably the most seamless and hassle-free store front I've ever used.  Just keep clicking back and trying to re-add a copy.  They'll free up from the cart-hoarders.

I'm pretty sure she wasn't "tatted", "punk", or "super" in any way. She did most assuredly take a bite out of vinyl. What you guys haven't realized yet is all color vinyl is edible. That's why there are variant collectors, to collect all the flavors.

I'm on the border of "Old fucks" and the age group here. My mom enrolled me in Columbia house as a kid and today I still have my Back To The Future soundtrack, Licensed to Ill, and more from then. In the 90's I got into again with grunge and punk mail order. A few years back, in my mid 30s, I got back into it.
 
Is it a trend, sure, are prices going up, a little (not anything like the price of other things like gas and cell phones) but is it bad... no, not at all. I no longer buy CDs, band shirts (maybe one or two, but not like the past), pins or patches. I buy vinyl. I think its great new bands are pressing vinyl, that long lost greats like Hum and Jellyfish are getting new pressings. For the bands that I'm friendly with its a new source of income. The local record shops that survived the post-napster and Netflix world are starting to see good profit.
 
I still get $1 David Bowie records at Yard Sales and flea markets. I track down favorites on ebay and here and I pay a little over retail. But I'm also doing ok with selling off some of my older stuff too.
 
The main issue with the rise in cost is pressing and printing and less the market trends. Up til the 90's there were lots of places to press albums. Oil and other materials in a pre-green world for pressing was much cheaper.
 
I guess all im saying is that I'm loving the bubble... I'll keep buying and hopefully my newborn son gets to listen to his first Sly and The Family Stone vinyl like I did when I was a kid.

Made the trek to a record store about an hour away today (in Lynchburg) and was pleasantly surprised to see this record there. Picked it up without hesitation (was planning on ordering it online anyway). Kind of strange that it's currently preorder only and plans to ship out the week of June 24th (basically a month away). I believe this to be the Purple Marble /50.

Sorry for the long wait on an update... we are almost to the point of pressing vinyl (we talked with the pressing plant last week), and it will be ordered before the end of the month. I know we said it was gonna be shipped in March, but I think it'll be ready more towards mid-April, and then it'll be shipped out with the rest of the rewards. We do, however, have everything else completed from the Kickstarter project, including the shirts, digi-paks, and screen-printed posters (aside from a live-album we'll be working on when the vinyl is released), so your package will be arriving around the end of April.
 
Not really sure if the records will be ready by the time they say since they said they haven't even ordered yet. Not sure if they realize the delays that pressing plants are experiencing lately, especially because of RSD. So we shall see when these will really be done being pressed. I sure hope we can get these by the end of April, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is delayed further. Either way, I'm just glad they are getting the ball rolling. Can't wait to get my hands on this.

Saw them open for Rosetta in March in Richmond. They were excellent   Nice guys, friends with Deadhorse iirc, folks you really want to back. Listened to their CD on the way home-- well produced, drummer is excellent.

Ah, f*ck it...I just pulled the trigger although I'm pretty pissed that a label puts such a high mark-up (4x!) on a record!
 
On the same note...I was stupid enough to order the 4x 7" Steven Wilson Cover Version Singles (thanks, shifres!) and the limited version of "Lightbulb Sun" as well! NO MORE VINYL THIS MONTH! F*CK!

yeah, have to chime in and say the two tracks in questions are perfect in every way. I love the samples, even the message is spot on, and perfect for this album. and i'm a post-whatever nerd, so where's the :goosebumps: emoticon thingie?  the rest of the vocals I've honed down a little better with the lyric sheet posted, more like yie, yie, yie, yie, yiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeee and occasionally hear a diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieee, too. I wanna see this dude vocalize without blinking, foot on monitor like all the reviews say, which may mean travelling to *gulp* DC instead of NC and busting up a family thing

It is quite the sight to see. I highly suggest it.

I'd like to hear a logical and well-thought out reason on why "Please Remember" and "Windows" are "worthless". Let's hear it.
 
 
 

Those are my two favorite tracks on the album. I figured quite a few people would dislike them but they are exactly what I look for in most music. Please Remember is perfect.
