  1. My store sold a coheed to a guy who asked for it (very hush hush-like) but didn't have it on display.
  2. Y'all are ruthless but you remind me of why I still come on here.
  3. Have you (mom) considered pressing any Ghosts And Vodka? I'd buy the shit out of that.
  4. I don't know how I missed this but it came out a few days ago. From the website: "Connan Mockasin and Devonté Hynes wrote and recorded the Marfa Myths 001 EP as part of the 2015 Marfa Myths festival. The pair spent the week prior to the Myths festival in Marfa Recording Studio with Gregory Smelley, an engineer and facility growing in prominence as the Far West Texas town increasingly becomes a destination for bands worldwide. This occasion marked the first collaboration between Connan and Dev. Their week together inspired three new compositions that focus and flit through both artists’ particular approach to pop songwriting. Connan’s choral melodies meet Dev’s throwback funk in “Feelin’ Lovely” and “La Fat Fur”, whereas “Big Distant Crush” showcases a golden coalescence of their respective talents for crafting heartfelt ballads. When their sessions concluded, Connan and Dev treated the Myths attendees to a special, impromptu performance during the festival’s showcase at The Capri – no better way to celebrate a collaboration fostered in Marfa. The festival expands our goal beyond the studio and onto the live stage, offering more artists – and more fans – the chance to join our family. Marfa Myths 001 is the first in a series of records that serves artists within the Mexican Summer crew to collaborate with mutual admirers and kindred spirits whose work lives outside of our catalog. Marfa Myths 001 will be available digitally and on a limited edition vinyl pressing." http://www.mexicansummer.com/shop/connan-mockasin-dev-hynes-marfa-12/
  5. I only need that Lush (even though I wish there were proper reissues and not a comp.... I'll take it anyway) and maybe the Ariel Pink 7".
  6. I would have loved to hear more bygones (side project of Nick from Tera Melos + Zach Hill) stuff
  7. I think what most of the people in this thread are saying is when you buy a record, you invite that artist into your house and around your friends and family. Some, if not most people do not wish to have transphobic/homophobic/racist/bigoted pricks in their home.
  8. I saw someone talking about political correctness and I would like to point out that there is a difference between being politically incorrect and being a total asshole. Being politically incorrect would be like saying "hey I know most people like this but I like this and I'm sticking to my opinion". Being an asshole is like saying "Hey trans people you should kill yourself". And last I checked, being an asshole at any job where you aren't the boss can get you fired and I'm 100% okay with that. I work with customers all day and have to watch my mouth, why shouldn't this douche? Even if he has different opinions or whatever...
  9. I already have standards on black but I need that splatter holy shit
  10. Don't forget Under The Iron Sea tho. Perfect Symmetry had its moments too.
  11. I saw them play the other night in Richmond. They always impress me with how together they have it on stage. Nothing is ever out of place. They played a bunch of new songs (including one that hasn't been released as a single, Big Ideas) and it blew me away. I bought a clear vinyl copy and it sounds fantastic. There's a full stream of the album on NPR if anyone is interested in listening before it comes out.
  12. YES NEW TORTOISE! I can't lie, they've been pretty silent the last few years and I was worried.
  13. I think we all need to cuddle and eat doughnuts until we're all best friends again. Maybe I'll invite the guys from the coheed and cambria thread too.
