Bandbox is reissuing the Long Winters catalog. Most of these are pretty tough/expensive to get at this point. When I Pretend To Fall in particular is a really great album.

Around 2006 (?) Northstar released an album on my friend's label that consisted mostly of demos and revisions. It included a 3 song demo we put out in 2001 that eventually ended up in the hands of Triple Crown Records, as well as some acoustic and piano versions of Northstar songs. Also included is a version of "Broken Parachute" that we recorded with Matt Squire. We decided to record that song for "studio" footage for our "Uncomfortable Camera" DVD. I guess it was the last thing we recorded as a band. A fitting goodbye. It should be out for streaming on the 30th of this month, so check it out. According to Triple Crown, there is also a vinyl repress on the way along with a shirt.

Received my copy of LLO from Burnt Toast today. It's a 10 out of 10. I own the Big School Records gold pressing as well, and this new version far surpasses that in overall quality and attention to detail.
 
It's a heavy weight trifold jacket with reflective printing. Tons of glossy photos. All LPs are clean and come in Gotta Groove MoFi-style rice paper inner sleeves. Also includes printed paper sleeves with additional artwork. A small insert with more photos and information. Recording notes, etc. The LPs are a little different from the mockups. I ordered the amber with black swirl but it ended up being more of a multicolor swirl. Doesn't really matter that much, just worth mentioning. Still looks greatm. I have only listened to Side A thus far. Plays clean. 
 
I think everyone here will be really pleased with this reissue.

Both my colour copies of Repetition and Challenge for a Civilized Society have shipped from Rough Trade UK, glad the release date was accurate!

Numero has a stand-alone repressing of Challenge for a Civilized Society on black and a "global" splatter color vinyl.  Has a quick release date of April 23rd.
