At least I'm not getting over 10k to make potato salad. I work as much as I can, but I go to school full time and can pretty much cover rent, food, Internet and bills. This is more of an act of desperation than it is entitlement. Playing shows with my friends at shitty dive bars every other weekend is pretty much the only thing I get to do right now where I can relax and have fun.

Reasoning: I spent 8 years of my life with these guys, my friends. We toured all over the US, and even went to the UK. I met so many people through out the years, took thousands upon thousands of photos, have so many memories because of them. I wouldn't be who I am today if it wasn't for this band. Not only did their lyrics always hit home, but I love this band so fucking much. Seeing my friends get up on stage and absolutely destroy the place whether it was at the local venue to a few hundred people, an out of town YMCA back in the early days, or a venue with thousands of people in support of Paramore in the UK. This song really sums up the history of this band, makes me look back on everything, and always gets to me. Damn.

Sadly, I think I am getting out of the photography game. My heart just isn't in it anymore. I really only started doing it to take photos of Conditions, and get into shows for free. After a while I started getting pretty good, getting published, booking tours / big gigs, branched out into weddings (nightmare), started taking band promos (to work on 'portraits'), but the music industry ironically killed my love. My love for music will never die. At least my photography expenses were channeled into records. That being said, I think I'm going to sell all my equipment. If you or anyone wants a loved Nikon D300 that has seen some good times, let me know. Have a bunch of equipment too of course.

As for Panic, I couldn't tell you anything about it cause I've been too busy working on my Creed collection. Sorry.

I made it easy on myself by moving around all the time, and didn't bother making new friends. So I'm used to being alone and entertaining myself. I like it that way. I'm pretty damn introverted and like. I understand being alone and it makes sense to me. I'm still human so I need some interaction every once in a while outside of work and other forced interaction. I don't really go "out" much, but when I do it is usually record hunting, shows, or food.
 
I think a lot of people go through that transition of hanging out with people less. Maybe some don't cause they have a steady relationship through the transition and hanging out with friends and your girlfriend turns into living with your wife. I didn't really keep hanging with my friends after high school. I did to some level, but I make a whole new group of friends revolved around the music scene from taking photos. So I would go to 3-5 shows a week, shoot, hang, and then go home. It was more than enough for me. Then after 6 years of that I moved to another state where I knew no one, then again a year later, then again a year later, then again 6 months later. Being alone is easier when you move around and don't know anyone, and maybe that's why I'm so good at passing time by myself. It's what I know. Me and my records. THe new version of a spinster cat lady.
