  1. Wow. This is definitely necessary. Got Ride the Fader cheap a few years back but definitely need Gone Glimmering.
  2. My original thoughts that this would be stupid and largely awful have been supported. This is so disappointing.
  3. I've mostly snagged so many of the 75s due to the amount that's been released. Would definitely like to see more released from Music Matters.
  4. I haven't snagged any of the 45 editions yet but have been thinking about it. That said, I've found that the Blue Note 75 series have been serviceable for what they are and the price. Buying them every month has given me much greater knowledge of the genre.
  5. If you're willing to drop the cash, I highly recommend the reissues put out by Music Matters. Recently got the 33 1/3 pressing of The Sidewinder by Lee Morgan. Easily the best sounding record I own. It RIPS.
  6. The only reason I know about this band is Beavis and Butthead.
  7. THIS IS A PRE-ORDER! ALL ITEMS WILL SHIP ON OR AROUND OCTOBER 15! Contact is the new duo of A.E. Paterra (aka Majeure) of famed sci-fi synth-rock group Zombi, and acclaimed British film composer, Paul Lawler. Exploring a similar orbit as Majeureand Zombi, multi-instrumentalist Lawler infuses heavy doses of melody and drama to give First Contact a sound and feel that blends late 70s Pink Floyd sprawl, the nostalgic wonder of early 80s science documentaries, and John Carpenter’s 80s sci-fi action films. Equal parts fascinating and euphoric, Contact is two masters of their respective crafts finding common ground in zero gravity. This vinyl-only release is strictly limited to 1,000 copies (700 Black, 300 Color) http://shop.temporaryresidence.com/trr245 Track is cool. Definitely not springing the extra cash for color though.
  8. Definitely. Pass. That said, the Windhand track is pretty great. Loving the vocals on it. Higher in the mix than usual. Reminds me more of their sound live.
  9. No there hasn't. All of the whining over Twin Peaks has been absurd to say the least. It'll come out when it comes out and there will be plenty to go around.
  10. The only quality issue I have with the reissues is with my copy of Rock Action. The run out groove isn't the best and it causes my arm to skip over it and land on the label.
  11. Don't recall the score much either, but I'm really excited for that bluray to come out.
  12. Waxwork just sent out a tweet implying that they'll eventually be releasing the soundtrack to Nightbreed.
  13. But don't people on this board side with the labels when it comes to bands being angry over this exact same issue?
  14. You're definitely underestimating Umberto's popularity. Dude did a re-score of Pieces (of all things) that has sold very well.
  15. I would be funny if they released Trick OR Treat as opposed to Trick 'R Treat.
  16. This raises a good point because this movie/score is anywhere close to being Fulci and Frizzi's best. Definition of inessential.
  17. So glad that this thread was bumped. Recently discovered this record and can't get enough.
  18. Chopping Mall is a pretty obscure flick after all. I'm surprised they pressed it. I love it but didn't think there would be much demand.
  19. This is up. http://tankcrimes.merchtable.com/music/vinyl/pre-order-dystopia-human-equals-garbage-vinyl-2xlp-ships-mid-october-2014#.U_5VLsVdXbU
  20. It's completely ridiculous. Definitely worth a watch and probably the most entertaining of his later films. That said, I don't particularly recall a memorable soundtrack.
