Best way to play it? Is there some sort of Flexi-Disc "raiser" that mimics height of a normal 7" ?

I've never known what a B/W Flexi was! Always thought it was the U.K. way of saying 7"

I'm not sure I agree that it is gouging at all. The rarer a record the more expensive. Well this is all purely subjective matter anyways. I think of gouging as, everyone needs gasoline, gas stations in a particular region are making handsome profit yet they decide to raise the price, (because we as consumers have no fucking choice but to keep buying the gas to get to work, school, concerts, etc!) But it is funny how someone on their marketing/sales team was like, "We're getting down to the wire with these records and they're flying off the shelves! Raise the price!" Also remember they pay a fee to eBay for these sales/exposure where they might not have otherwise been able to market since not everyone's as geeky to look up the record label of a Bon Iver-Esque band.

You check the level of the base? Possibly off... This has happened to me for pre-set up. My tonearm weight was terribly off and not set up properly. Your weight is most likely too heavy, thus resulting in the arm being pulled up and off the grooves.

Thanks! Yes the good guys at NeedleDoctor gave me 50$ off for the platter and tt + free shipping. I've heard crazier stories! But I'm grateful to have gotten any discount especially since I simply asked if there was some sort of deal we could strike together. Well they have me as a customer for life now that's for sure. I'd recommend them. But yea man the acrylic aside from it's audio benefits/lightness it absorbs colored records so well! Just a nice little enhancement to add to the pleasure vibes.

This is at my local record store. I'm sure it's black. The colored editions have the stickers that say so.

Don't sweat it man. Once I ordered a record from some dude in northern California. Instead of going to the major usps hub in Los Angeles it went a llllllllllllll the way to New Jersey then to Texas THEN to LA then finally to San Diego. The stupidest crap ever. But people need to understand this happens!!!

You have so many variants that if you stuck with one of your favorite you could turn in a handsome profit while helping others merely begin their collection I bet

So I'm wondering how many variants there truly are of this on vinyl? I've read there is a clear 150gram and a regular black. But I also see some listings around the internet that advertise 150gram.
