Hey All! We've got some cool stuff going on this weekend we wanted to tell you about if you're in the bay area and a small change being made to our post RSD/Black Friday mail order system. MAIL ORDER FOR BLACK FRIDAY LEFTOVERS First of all since I think most of you count on us for mail order of these sorts of things we have changed our webcart system this time out. We can now accept paypal AND credit cards for all orders placed at http://www.1234gorecords.com/blackfriday2018 . It's a typical squarespace store system so it's super easy to use. Should be a lot smoother than years past. We have everything we'll have left scheduled to hit the store at 5am PST and it will all go up at once so there won't be any confusion or difficulty in ordering. We have staff on hand to start shipping Saturday morning and we should be able to clear them out really quickly. I think for the most part our reputation precedes us on quantity and quality so make sure to set your alarms! BLACK FRIDAY Both of our shops will be open from 8am to 8pm. Just got this press release in my inbox, figured it was time to get a thread going. RSD Black Friday is Friday, November 24. Fleet Foxes have announced a special edition 10” EP available exclusively at independent record stores starting on Record Store Day's Black Friday, November 24. Those interested in purchasing a copy can find an independent record store near them by visiting recordstoreday.com. The EP features four songs, thoughtfully selected from a WFUV session recorded at New York's historic, Electric Lady Studios on June 13, 2017, days before Crack-Upwas released. In addition to the announcement, Fleet Foxes have released a Classic Album Sunday Q&A which can be viewed here. Side A of the vinyl includes “Cassius, -” and “- Naiads, Cassadies” while Side B includes “Mearcstapa” and “On Another Ocean (January / June).” Each pair is recorded and cut as one long track to reflect the intentional fluidity between these songs, on both the album and in live performance.

I just got a copy of the NMC '17 record and I expected it to be white vinyl. Turns out it is yellow. Now I noticed someone posted a clear orange copy on Discogs. Anyone got some details, what colored copies have been made?

There are all retested and play perfectly. Just consider the marks a sign of a record well traveled.

Alt-metal band Faith No More has announced that after 18 years they will be recording a new album, their first since 1997′s Album of The Year. The new album will come out next April, so strap yourselves in for a bit of a wait. A limited edition (5000 copies) 7-inch single of the song “Motherfucker” will precede the April 2015 release, available via Record Store Day’s Black Friday event (Nov. 28). The single will be released digitally on Dec. 9. Bill Gould, talking with Rolling Stone We’ve always shared a chemistry between ourselves that’s unique to this band, but these past few years of touring together have made us aware that we not only play better as a unit, but we like the new stuff we’re coming up with. Hey Everyone, Here's our plans so far for Black Friday. More details as things get lined up. HOURS: We'll be open from 9am to 8pm. THE LINE: If there's an RSD style line (aka a hundred plus people around the block) we'll hand out numbered tickets to everyone in line, let in 20 or 30 people and then one in one out until the line is gone. We've had great success with this strategy. It makes the line look intimidating to passers by but it actually goes pretty quick and orderly. When you hand in your ticket you'll be entered in to a drawing for a gift certificate for your next visit and everyone gets a coupon for 10% off their next visit with their purchase! THE RECORDS: Everything will be set up in our show space. Customers on Black Friday will only be able to buy one of each release. Saturday onward you can come in and get as much of whatever you want. No holds barred. There are about 110 official BF releases at last count. We've ordered 105 of them to date. We will not be releasing a list ahead of the day. We often get things the day of so we'd hate to say "yes we'll have that" and end up not getting or telling you it didn't come and then have it show up. Talk to anyone who has been here for RSD in the last 3 years or so and they'll tell you we get great fills on these things. Often way more than the bigger stores who get absolutely SWAMPED on days like this. It's very worth checking us out. SALE STUFF: There will be HUGE discounts on a lot of RSD stuff from the past and great discounts on some other things we pick out specially for this day. These will be in the same room as the RSD stuff on a separate table.
