Official release date July 8, 2016 Included in Post-Rock Essentials Best Releases of 2015, “Unborn” is the first EP by Texas based sonic seekers Glasir and the first Elusive Sound release. Working with perfectionist producer and audio engineer Sam Hunt out in McKinney, Texas, Glasir is a project that consists of longtime collaborators Nate Ferguson on bass, Conner McKibbin on guitar and Austin Vanbebber on drums. Together they have crafted a heavy siege cannon, one that draws in post-rock, ambient doom and psychedelic rock and is masterfully loaded with enough black blasting powder to fire relentlessly at all levels. Hey guys, I accidentally have come across two different copies of this record and as I don't care for variant collecting, I'd like to sell one of them. The one I'm interested in selling is the cream or "bone" pressing. It's a gatefold, with an insert of the lyrics. Plays well jacket looks fine other than very slight wear-and-tear on the spine; I'd say its condition is Very Good to Near Mint. My price is $18 shipped, I live in the US. I can offer pics upon request. Also I'm a little inexperienced in shipping records, so although I do know how (use LP mailer, bubble wrap, place vinyl in inner sleeve outside of jacket, etc.), I'd really like it if you give me details on how you want me to ship the record, just so I can be more confident. Okay so I finally got through a few whole listens of Sunbather by Deafheaven. Every time I sit down to listen to it I just get bogged down by the vocals. I know VC loves this album so don't shame me or anything but I think it's a really great piece of work...without the vocals. If this album came out about 6 years ago I bet my 19 year old self would have loved it even more but that really isn't my cup of tea anymore. With that being said, what are some albums that you think would be better without the vocals or with a different vocalist altogether? My contribution is obviously the album mentioned above.
