  1. https://www.daisrecords.com/products/vr-sex-human-traffic-jam shit is damn good. 4 song tape already released. this is the link for the full length coming in May.
  2. Just released an LP/CD for PSYCHIC TEENS from Philly! They have a few records under their belts already. They play really loud goth-y punk/shoegaze/ noise rock.. I dunno, it's pretty hard to nail down really. Either way, they have released a song from the record over at Invisible Oranges here: http://www.invisibleoranges.com/psychic-teens-sicko-song-premiere/ The records are on yellow and green vinyl (ya know, for maximum fun). If you want to order one or two go here: http://hexrecords.bigcartel.com/ International orders can go here (for better shipping rates): https://mvdshop.com/search?q=psychic+teens
  3. Spray Paint - Feel the Clamps June 3, Goner Records This band is on a roll - having released two albums last year and already a new one. Not to mention the 3 albums before that, though the first two could be demos for all I know. Last year's Dopers was really good and my favorite so far. http://www.goner-records.com/spraypaint.php Limited colored vinyl: $13.99 Black vinyl: $12.99
  4. RIYL: Krill, Cloud Nothings, Les Savy Fav, Japandroids, Unwound Confirmation Bias, the sophomore LP from Chicago's Yeesh is now available for pre-order via Tiny Engines (out 7/22). You can stream a brand new song at Stereogum, which had this to say about the album... "Yeesh put out their impressively nervy debut No Problem in 2015 after a few years of gestating in the Chicago scene, and they’re following it up with Confirmation Bias, their sophomore LP and first for rock powerhouse Tiny Engines. It sees the trio tightening up their already tightly-coiled post-punk to the point of strangulation." Definitely one of my favorite additions to the 2016 Tiny Engines roster here, but kind of a tough one to pin down. Yeesh embraces elements of noise-pop, post-punk and even Dischord-styled hardcore. It's all endearingly fuzzy and rough-around-the-edges, but unmistakably catchy and intricately layered. Give the new track a spin. The band's debut LP No Problem is pretty awesome as well! Yeesh will embark on a short tour of the Midwest and East Coast beginning on May 20th. A more extensive tour of the U.S. in support of the record is being booked in August. Stay tuned for additional updates and another song premiere! May 20 - Chicago, IL @ Auxilliary Arts Center w/ Pool Holograph May 21 - Bloomington, IN @ The Void May 22 - Louisville, KY @ The Cure Lounge w/ Rarebit, Skintone May 23 - Cincinnati, OH @ The Comet w/ Pinkwash May 24 - Pittsburgh, PA @ Howlers w/ Calyx May 25 - Washington DC @ Union Arts DC w/ Polyon, Rom, Dove Lady May 26 - Philadelphia, PA @ TBA w/ Left & Right May 27 - New York, NY @ Palisades w/ Haybaby, Bueno, Sic Tic
  5. Very excited to announce that the next Framework release will be the debut album by our good friends in Longings! Longings explore the dark passages of post-punk with an intricate and melodic edge. Both bleak and levitative, their self-titled debut aggressively conquers themes of frustration & isolation. The Western Massachusetts trio, comprised of Meghan Minior, Will Killingsworth, and Cole Lanier, have grown and intensified their sound dramatically since the release of their 2013 demo tape, and it truly shows on these recordings. Over the course of eight songs, the band crafts an acute and urgent album by way of dynamic guitar work, compelling vocals, and spirited delivery. We could not be happier to release this record to the world! The album will see release on September 18th, 2015 via Framework. Hear the track “Tarnished” here: http://www.frameworklabel.com http://frameworklabel.tumblr.com http://soundcloud.com/framework-label http://frameworklabel.bandcamp.com/
  6. http://www.sacredbonesrecords.com/products/sbr135-institute-catharsis?mc_cid=979892fdf1&mc_eid=1151b57bc5 PO is up for Institute's 1st LP. The track posted sounds good. From the album description it appears that they are branching out a bit, but there are still one of the best post punk bands out there. I highly recommend their demo if anyone hasn't heard it. There are 250 with a special cover and a standard press.
