  1. Zola Jesus Live At Roadburn 2018 is Zola Jesus first ever live album. Recorded at Roadburn Festival 2018 where Zola Jesus was invited by Jakob Bannon of Converge to play at his curated day. The album will be released on May 8th 2020 on all other digital channels. Also on May 8th 2020 pre-sales will start for the double vinyl and cd version. For a June 2020 release. Zola Jesus is the stage name of Russian American musician Nika Roza Danilova. Under the name Zola Jesus, she has released a number of genre bending EPs and albums. Her approach is a cross pollination of electronic/industrial, classical, and gothic sounds. All of it coming together as a dark and emotional artistic experience. Jacob Bannon (Converge) about inviting Zola Jesus for his curated day at Roadburn Festival 2018. “I first heard Nika’s work on the “Stridulum”  EP (Sacred Bones, 2010). Every aspect of the release connected with me and it soon became a daily listen. The record (and all of her work) was relatable and infectious. I’ve been an avid listener ever since. Watching her artistry grow and deepen over time has been inspiring. “Okovi”, the latest from Zola Jesus is such a powerful album. I am truly honored to have Nika and Company at Roadburn 2018 as part of my curation.” https://zolajesus.bandcamp.com/album/live-at-roadburn-2018 Zola Jesus: Nika Roza Danilova - vocals, synth Alex Degroot - guitar, electronics Louise Woodward - viola Mixed and mastered by James Plotkin Audio registration at Roadburn Festival 2018 by Marcel van de Vondervoort and his team Front sleeve artwork by Oejerum: http://www.instagram.com/oejerum/ Sleeve by Maurice de Jong
  2. Marissa Nadler's new album 'For My Crimes' is up for pre-orders now. A limited edition colored vinyl version is limited to 400 it says. Info on USA pre-orders is here: https://www.sacredbonesrecords.com/products/sbr208-marissa-nadler-for-my-crimes The album was produced by LAWRENCE ROTHMAN, Justin Raisen and myself and recorded at Lawrence’s studio in Laurel Canyon. This record is the most intimate album of my career, featuring warm, up-front vocals that serve to support 11 deeply wrought songs. I played most of the instruments on this album, while Angel Olsen, Sharon Van Etten and Kristin Kontrol brought the songs to new melodic heights with their own unique takes on harmony. Cellist Janel Leppin composed transportive string-arrangements, while Mary Lattimore - Harpist added her spectral experimental harp to the mix. Eva Gardner played bass while Dana Colley, the sax player from the band Morphine, has the honor of being the only male musician on the album. This is the first album that features one of my paintings on the cover, and I hope that you, upon hearing the first song, get enveloped in the wide and expansive landscape of it.

  4. Institute - Subordination (June 2) Hell yes! I have been anticipating a new one from these lads - love everything they've released so far. I was a bit scared by the press release mentioning hard rock and glam but luckily the first single delivers good old anarcho/post-punk they're known for and doesn't sound like either of those. Curious what the rest of the album will bring. 1. Exhibitionism 2. Only Child 3. Prissy Things 4. All This Pride 5. Oil Money 6. Human Law 7. Too Dumb 8. Good Ol' Boys 9. Powerstation Pre-order here: https://www.sacredbonesrecords.com/collections/frontpage/products/sbr167-institute-subordination ***Limited Edition Version: Edition of 250 hand-numbered copies, comes with alternate screen-printed LP jacket, screen-printed glassine cover, on clear vinyl, wax sealed, and available by mail-order only. 5. Updated 8/31/16 Removing all unnecessary records from the collection. Trickling Discogs sales have moved some items for me but I'd like to speed this up. I really don't want to price everything, so use past Discogs sales / past VC sales / common sense / lowballing tactics because I'm desperate / whatever and send me an easy PPD cash offer. I also have some reasonable records I'd like to trade for, nothing ridiculously rare or anything, but I'd rather have those than these. I'll put that at the bottom, it's off the top of my head so if you have other stuff or a tradelist go ahead and post it. Removed all sold records from the list and added more. Every order gets an unlisted bonus 7" / sticker/ something cool. Everything is NM/VG+ and in some cases sealed, but if there's a ding or something I'll mention it. 7" Dads - Woman EP (RSD 2014 #245/1000 transparent red) J Dilla Feat. 10. Out 11/11. ****Limited Edition Version: Edition of 200 hand-numbered copies in deluxe packaging, with alternate screen-printed wrap-around sleeve, wax-sealed, and available by mail order only. ONE PER PERSON LIMIT.**** Dream Police is an American musical production by Nick Chiericozzi and Mark Perro. The project began in 2010 as a reservoir for ideas which had overflowed from The Men’s drainpipe. In that same year, a two-song cassette single was self- released, with a follow-up live document in 2011. In the summer of 2013, The Men had just come home from five straight months of touring. For Perro and Chiericozzi, the desire to create was still strong, so they did what they used to do when they first started the band — they started jamming. Although the production began using the most conservative rock n’ roll devices, Chiericozzi suggested adding drum machine to the song “Pouring Rain,” and everything changed. Over the next six months, the two Men and their collaborator Kyle Keays-Hagerman spent countless hours reshaping every song, constructing them from nothing. They obsessed over every tone, every part. They’d spend an entire day on one snare crack. The album slowly plumed into a cloud of future primitive psychedelia bursting with glimmering electronics and cinematic, vibrato storytelling. The result of that process is Hypnotized: something borne from The Men, but free of it. It was mixed the weekend after Tomorrow’s Hits was released, and then Perro and Chiericozzi were off again. 13. While holed-up in a house in upstate NY, The Men took full advantage of their rural surroundings, in-house studio, and lack of recording timelines and obligations. They tracked over twenty-five songs. On top of that they also managed to record five songs acoustically, while sitting around a campfire outside the house. Vinyl version comes with a 12-page photo book 11.5-inch × 11.5-inch insert featuring never before seen black & white photographs shot by their bassist/photographer Kevin Faulkner during the Big Indian sessions. Campfire Songs is the band’s second release this year, and their fifth in the past four years. To say this band is prolific is an understatement; they are teeming, borderline prodigal even. Two of these acoustic jams are alternate takes from the album, “I Saw Her Face” and “The Seeds.” The plugged-in version of “Water Babies” appeared on the b-side of their 7-inch from January, “Patience” and “Turn Your Color” are two entirely new beautiful tracks that highlight this band’s ability to be as gentle as they are commanding. Limited Edition: $20.00 (Available October 15, 2013) Limited edition of 200 hand-numbered copies in deluxe packaging, with silk-screened on wood, available by mail order only. ONE PER PERSON LIMIT. http://www.sacredbonesrecords.com/releases/sbr095/
