To our fans and friends, The recent shows we played around and including the Riot Fests in Colorado and Chicago were such a great time for us and we wanted to thank you all for the response, once again, to our erratic and spontaneous show scheduling. We had so much fun. So much, in fact, that we all decided we would like to do a few more shows before the end of the year. And since we have been working on some new material, we decided that it would be fun to try to go back and play all of our previous material. That's right, all of it. So we have booked 4 shows, 2 on the east coast and 2 on the west (sorry middle America), and we will play two complete albums each night. Since we want to cover everything, we are going to try to include all B-sides relating to each album as well on their corresponding nights. The shows will be December 9th and 10th at the Observatory in Santa Ana, California, December 20th at The Paramount in Huntington, NY, and December 21st at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey. Unfortunately, I was completely screwed over by the ticketing company Starland Ballroom uses to sell tickets and I did not get a ticket for the Brand New show on December 21. I am looking for 1 (or more) tickets for this show. I will be willing to pick them up and will pay $120 each ticket.

Hey guys, I've got a few pretty rare records for sale if anyone is interested. Brand New, Your Favourite Weapon. First press in white only 100 made, the sleeve is still in it's shrink wrap and the record it self has been played maybe twice. Brand New, The Devil & God. black/marble, 500 pressed. Both records are in perfect condition as is sleeve. There is some minor damage to the covers the records slide into. Thursday, Doves 10". Blue 62/250. The record has never been played so it is perfect but there is some damage to the sleeve where the record has managed push through on the seam. I've used a little but if tape to stop it getting any worse. I'm in the UK and I'm looking for £160 for each of them if anyone is interested in more than one record we should be able to work something out. Pictures are available on request.

Well, firstly, seeing as how none of the tracks have their original segues (why?) this leads me to believe the record has been remixed, if the finished master they originally made 10 years prior had these songs linked together. But it wasn't advertised as being a remix, only "remastered". There is obviously alot more than a remaster going on here. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, and I do kinda like that we get to hear a few extra seconds of each track and how they were oriinally performed in-studio. The audio quality is what really rustles my jimmies here though. The back cover credits the original mastering engineer (why? this is irrelevant) as well as the new mastering engineer and the location where it was mastered. But the disc itself says MASTERDISK, which does not match up with the info given on the back. Da fuk? Secondly, the audio presentation certainly doesn't sound like it's of the quality that I associate Masterdisk with. I've never heard a record this bad before. The highs are extremely sibilant and splatter everywhere, obviously a bad cut. Sounds like someone played the lacquer before it was plated or something, because the mastering engineers at Masterdisk surely know how to make a good sounding cut with clean high end. It ain't my equipment, my setup is meticulously aligned to Baerwald, and I use a line contact stylus, so sibilance and inner groove distortion simply aren't words that apply to my setup. Or any of my other records. This sounds so bad it's embarassing. The pressing isn't much to write home about either. surface noise could be lower, vinyl could be flatter, and it could've been centered better. But all of that could be forgiven if the cut didn't suck so hard. For what it's worth, I have the white vinyl. So what gives?
