  1. Because this is the second time I have pre-ordered (and once on a regular order that showed in stock) a record that showed 'in stock' and ready to ship (on release day), and then on the day of release it went to back order, I am looking for suggestions on German (or European) online shops that reliably have a large and varied stock. I usually use jpc.de as they have free shipping (in Germany) and a pretty good selection. But this is the second time a pre-order did not arrive on-time. I still recommend them as best. hhv.de is also pretty good. Lots more stock, and rarities. some used, some boots. after that, i usually go to UK shops, ebay and discogs. My question... what am I missing? What are some really good European (German) online shops? Particularly for some non-major releases and bootleg/unofficial/whatever you wanna call them? Share your favorites (my small crowd of locals and international shippers)
  2. Any other Europeans having problems with Paypal when ordering on US sites? Seen multiple reddit threads with no solutions, and apparantly PP is not really working hard to fix it (more than a week now). If you know a solution, shoot!
  3. Anyone from Europe/overseas has experiences with the DHL Express shipping option from the DW estore? Recently, I've used this option for the first time to Germany: Three records, $48 value. Shipping was super fast and actually cheaper than the USPS option - so far that’s great. But: a few days after christmas I’ve received an additional letter from DHL with an invoice for customs. Apparently, the DHL option includes a mandatory import customs clearance. This alone wouldn’t be much of a problem, however, what really annoys me is the fact that - they did a customs declaration with a customs value of 99,35 Euro (even 123,35 Euro for import turnover tax reference), although the commercial invoice stating $48 was attached, resulting in 23,82 Euro customs fees AND - they charged 10 Euro (+ VAT) for their service, which I had never ordered on purpose. I’m currently in the process of clarifying with DHL why they did a wrong import declaration (in my name!) that I haven’t even requested. Anyone with similar experiences?

  6. With postage from the US increasing I'm looking to find more European distros and online stores. I'm pretty sure I've seen a thread like this before but I can't find it. Anyway, please list your favorite online places to buy vinyl in Europe. New and used. (or hit me up with a link to another thread). I've recently bought from Throatruiner in France: http://store.throatruinerrecords.com And I always enjoy Different Kitchen in the UK: http://differentkitchen.bigcartel.com
