  1. I am going to Detroit next week .. and I saw a few listed in the record store thread but.. I only have a few hours in 'the D" this coming Monday and didn't want to waste time.. Besides the new Third Man shop, is there any great stores that I HAVE to hit up? I really only have time to do three (third man being one of them).. looking for rare Indie, punk, emo and whatever.. thoughts? and thanks..
  2. My favorite current Michigan band. I saw them live based on the description of their sound and they were great! “Building on their collective experiences from a decade or more of laying waste to the local Detroit underground, the members of Tharsis They formed in 2011 with the goal of creating their most sonically destructive unit yet. Drawing inspiration from classic late 90’s Hydra Head bands like Botch, Cave-In, Coalesce, etc., Tharsis has consistently upped the ante with both their debut 2012 LP “Ominous Silence” as well as last year’s scorching split 7” with The Armed. More ferocious than ever before, the band is unleashing a brand new 7″ "Formless/Shapeless" that continues to meld their razor-sharp precision with primal aggression. 4 songs, unlimited headbanging. Physical copies will appear on green, clear, and black vinyl just in time to ruin your holidays" New 7" http://droppingbombshc.storenvy.com/ http://droppingbombshc.storenvy.com/ http://droppingbombshc.storenvy.com/ Previous 7" and LP: http://tharsisthey.bandcamp.com/ http://tharsisthey.bandcamp.com/ http://tharsisthey.bandcamp.com/
