A very first pressing of Nick Drake's "Pink Moon" album. Has a "Sample - not for commercial sale." promo-sticker, indicating this was a promo record. Quite a rare little Nick Drake find and an even rarer addition to your collection. Matrix numbers are, as is to be expected for a 1st press, "ILPS 9184 A-1U" and "ILPS 9184 B-1U". Record would be NM by most people's standards, but just to be careful I graded it EX. Sleeve is in pretty good condition, had it not been for the little white patch where somebody carelessly ripped off what I presume was a price sticker. As such, I chose to grade it VG. Item ships from The Netherlands with insurance and will be packaged meticulously to avoid any and every possible damage to the record. I am much more a listener than a collector so I don't really care if I get a "promo" stamped copy if it's in great shape and sounds good. However I recently bought a Sigue Sigue Sputnik promo record and it is different than the regular release. Not a huge difference but some of the song intros I am used to are not there. Wondering if this is fairly normal for promo copies. If so I will avoid them.

Hello, I just got a 7'' of Ike Turner's "Father Alone" and it has a white label with the title and artist handwritten. I checked Discogs and they do not have anything matching. Stamped as a United Artists Records UA-13483-E. It also has K-8323 etched as well. I believe like the single, it has a stereo side and a mono side. I cannot find anything on this record. Does anyone have any info on it? Is it a bootleg? Thanks, D

Came across this promo copy of CSN&Y - Celebration Copy and the label has the four Led Zeppelin signs on it. Can't find any information about it online, anyone ever come across this before? Probably just a misprint in the pressing plant but it's pretty cool so I thought I'd share.

Hey guys, I picked up a copy of Queen "News of the World" the other day and looked it up on discogs today and saw that it is labeled as a promo. It was released the same year as the first pressing so would this be considered a first press as well, or possibly a 0th press if it was an early release promo? Does anyone know what the promotion was?
