It's 61 mins of material for only $10, as well as being a release off of a cool Dutch cassette label called Geertruida. I know it's cool and hip to do cassettes these days, but in all seriousness, I feel very excited and nostalgic about this. Back in 1995 and 1996, on buses and trams across Prague, I'd listen to The Beatles and Nirvana on my Sony Walkman, over and over and over again. This was my first real excitement about music outside of classical piano, and I'll forever associate that time with cassettes, walkmans, and shitty walkman headphones. That thing went everywhere with me, so having a cassette release now for one of our albums is... crazy surreal. Hope you'll enjoy the nostalgia that comes with cassette tapes, and for those of you purchasing a copy, hope you'll actually play the cassette and enjoy that beautiful roughness of the cassette sound. Boston duo Arms And Sleepers' fifth LP will be released on 10/28 through Fake Chapter Records. Vinyl pre-order is now available. First 100 orders will be on colored vinyl (color not specified), while the rest will presumably be on standard black. A new single was released today which is a lot brighter and more upbeat than their typical ambient, trip-hop sound, but I can tell you that the album as a whole will completely appeal to fans of their entire catalog.
