  1. on january 1, Artistic Integrity Records will be releasing our 4th annual New Year's Day covers comp. this year's installment is all Against Me! covers, and proceeds from the sale of the album will be donated to Gender Is Over (www.genderisover.com), a clothing company/charity which Laura Jane Grace herself has worked with over the past few years, and whose mission is to provide support to trans & gender nonconforming people, as well as assisting organizations with the same goal. punknews has made the official announcement of the complete track listing for the album, which can be seen here: https://www.punknews.org/article/62650/streams-26-band-against-me-tribute-album-announced-punknews-exclusive there you can also stream one of the tracks from the album, "Mediocrity Gets You Pears (The Shaker)" by Cadaver Dogs. you can pre-order the comp at the AIR bandcamp page starting right this very second, but it will be officially released 1/1/17. https://artisticintegrityrecords.bandcamp.com/album/air-036-an-impression-of-an-original-a-tribute-to-against-me if you want to follow Artistic Integrity Records to stay updated with all news regarding this and other releases, here are all of our social media accounts: www.facebook.com/artisticintegrityrecords www.twitter.com/artisticintrecs www.instagram.com/artisticintegrityrecords
  2. hey everybody, i'm pretty excited to be working with The Please And Thank Yous again. they're a chicago pop punk/emo 4-piece that's been around since 2006, and is somehow still getting better with every release. "Split" is TPATY's most ambitious recording to date. everything was recorded to tape and mastered from there. this album is called "Split" because the band joked about wanting to do a split with themselves since half the new songs they had written were songs that will make you want to dance, and the other half will make you want to cry. so the A-side is one, and the B-side is the other. just put on whatever side you're in the mood for. 10 songs appear on the cassette itself, and the digital download code gets you two bonus tracks. included in these dozen songs are ten originals, one Martha And The Vandellas cover, and one Weezer cover. head on over to the bandcamp page and place your order for the new cassette that's out TODAY, and while you're there, add a CD copy of AIR-021 to your order. that's TPATY's self-titled EP which also rules. https://artisticintegrityrecords.bandcamp.com/album/air-029-split RIYL: Weezer, Jawbreaker, The Promise Ring, Knapsack, etc
  3. okay, so i decided to try something here and do a raffle for this Jawbreaker painting i made. it's 24" x 18" and done with acrylic paints on a canvas in 2010. there's only one in the world. obviously it was inspired by 24 Hour Revenge Therapy. if you want this bad boy, i'd love for you to have it. it kills me that i can't find a place for it in my house. here's how the raffle will work: all tickets must be bought via PayPal by sending the money to [email protected] as a gift. 1 ticket = $5 3 tickets = $10 5 tickets = $15 10 tickets = $20 (<--- this has been the most popular option so far) 15 tickets = $25 20 tickets = $30 25 tickets = $35 as a gift, send the amount that correlates to the number of tickets you wish to purchase, and in the notes section write "jawbreaker painting raffle". i'll reply with an e-mail letting you know what raffle ticket numbers are yours within 24 hours. if you're not comfortable sending the money as a gift, please add $2 (no matter how many/how few tickets you are buying) to cover paypal fees. i made a spreadsheet on my computer and i've been keeping track of everybody's ticket numbers so i can easily find and contact the winner when they are picked. because if there's one thing i love, it's making spreadsheets. the date the winner will be picked is Saturday, January 23. i will make a post with a picture of the winning ticket, and follow up personally with the winner in case they don't happen to see the post for some reason. if the winner is located within 50 miles of Chicago, i will make arrangements to personally deliver it to you. if you live outside that radius, i will ship it on my own dime. i have shipped paintings all over the US and to the UK before that were all delivered unharmed, so please don't let the fact that you live in California or something be a deterrent to you if you're interested in owning this. all proceeds will go toward funding the next Artistic Integrity Records releases, of which there are already a few planned. if you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to get in touch either here or by e-mailing [email protected] and i'll do my best to answer anything you've got. here are some more detailed pictures of the painting: by the way, I literally am using an old roll of raffle tickets for this, not some online random number generator. so if you've purchased some and I sent you your numbers, they weren't just some bogus numbers. I actually counted out your tickets and let you know which ones are yours. i don't know if VC has ever had a sales thread like this before, so if it's frowned upon or violates any rules or anything, sorry about that and the mods can feel free to take it down.
  4. so Devon Kay & The Solutions are at it again. back in november, we released their first full length "Losing IT" as a limited run CD. there's been a lot of people asking when it's going to be pressed to vinyl, so we're going to leave that up to you guys. PRE ORDER HERE! the blue copies will be exclusive to the pre-order, and the black copies will be available after that at shows and on the website. if you've never listened to DK&S before, or just haven't heard Losing IT yet, head on over to the bandcamp page and stream it for free: LISTEN TO IT HERE! anything help you can give (whether it's $1, $100, or even just sharing the link to spread the word) would go a long way and be greatly appreciated. however, the pre-order isn't just for Losing IT on vinyl... devon's been living in boston the last 6 months or so, and has written a new EP's worth of songs. since the rest of the band still lives here in chicago, recording these new songs is going to take some help, too. all of the band's current savings are going toward getting devon back to chicago, so whatever help you can give would go toward covering recording costs. we're trying to get this all taken care of in time for Fest, which DK&S will be playing again this year. the sooner we reach the goal, the sooner we can get the ball rolling. please donate what you can, and help spread the word if you believe in what we're doing. we all sincerely appreciate it. -dan
