  1. Looking to add to my small but growing dub collection. Looking for collections of singles and/or LP’s from the 60’s and 70’s.
  2. Re-releases of the first two extremely classic albums by The Orb were released yesterday. The only announcement I saw were two tweets from @Orbinfo announcing each one, with links to them on amazon.co.uk. Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld: https://goo.gl/2dRCTE U.F.Orb: https://goo.gl/boMSM1 I ordered both and it came out to about $62 with shipping to the US. They're also up on Bleep but for some reason U.F.Orb is way more expensive, and it comes out to about $81 shipped to the US.
  3. Any fans of dub? I have become somewhat obsessed in the last year. Nearly every record I've bought in the last 12 months has been dub or dub related. Mostly the classic 70's stuff, but also some Orb, Twilight Circus Dub Soundsystem, Meatbeat Manifesto and others of the more electronic variety. Recent pickups: Scientist - Scientist Rids the World of the Curse of the Vampires Augustus Pablo - Meets the Rockers Uptown Phil Pratt - Star Wars Dub Bad Brains - I and I in Dub Lee Perry & Upsetters - Return of the Super Ape I have Tappa Zukie - In Dub and Linton Kwesi Johnson - In Dub on the way currently. I admittedly hated all the dub remixes of the 80's and 90's for singles. And I was a casual at best reggae fan, but now my neighbors must think I am a weed salesman as all you hear coming from my place is dub.
  4. THE BLACK SEEDS - Into the Dojo (2005) Released late July (although discogs says 2015?), first time on vinyl, on black or limited Gold press Classic NZ Reggae Dub - if you're a fan of the genre definitely check these guys out Sounds like Solid Ground and On the Sun are getting their vinyl debut at some stage too! Available all over the place, JBhifi has best price I can find in NZ + $1 shipping http://www.theblackseeds.com/into-the-dojo-gold-vinyl-release/
  5. For fans of Ska, Reggae, Rocksteady, The Slackers, The Aggrolites etc... Just spotted this, has been available for a while through Jump Up Records but has recently been reduced by $10 - bargain for what they are offering So you get 3 x LPs (their first 3 full lengths) + 7" bundled up and limited to 300 & free postage in US all for $25! Havent heard much of the earlier stuff but their 2007 release "The Ramblers" is up there with The Slackers stuff imo Super cheap anyway, worth a look if you like this kinda sound http://www.jumpuprecords.com/dgbwelcome/#more-816 PS I dont work for them, just like to share (what I hope is) a good find
