  1. Happy to announce the first record I’ve had the pleasure of helping release with Wolves Recordings. 250 - Oxblood Vinyl first Press. http://name.bigcartel.com/ It's been a long time coming. We're happy to announce our first new album in 7 years "You Are Mostly Nowhere" out November 3rd on Wolves Recordings. Pre-orders available now. Vinyl record limited to 250 copies on oxblood color. Available at http://name.bigcartel.com/ "There's nothing left to lose". This is the foundation for, "You Are Mostly Nowhere" name's follow up to the trio's 2010 frenetic opus, "Internet Killed the Audio Star". A lot has changed in 7 years. The record reflects a shift in harnessing the controlled chaos from the group's previous work and focusing it on a massive sounding endeavor. "We wanted to sound as if the band were a huge ensemble and not just a 3 piece group, trying to push the sonic landscapes until they were bursting at the seams.", cites bassist Jeremy Fareas. Name has stated on many occasion that the music they produce will never be the same each record, this collection of music is testament to that. With that venture, comes new challenges, so the band opting to record the album completely analog, live, and to tape was an incremental part to the personality and life of this record. Thanks to working with acclaimed engineer/producer Jack Shirley (Oathbreaker, Deafheaven) at Atomic Garden Studios, name was able to invoke the desired tone of the album. Written at the collectively lowest time in the group's lives as individuals, this has to be their most vulnerable release to date. “Music was never meant to be safe. I hope this record inspires a thought or motivates someone to do something true. Because I never want you to be where I was when I wrote this record.”, says vocalist and guitarist Wes Fareas. The look of the album needed to be a perfect marriage of sound and visuals. The complete aesthetic for "You Are Mostly Nowhere", was provided by master enigma practitioner, Jesse Draxler. 5 songs. 46 minutes of music. Each song is told as it’s own story, with chapters within. It is an encompassing and voyeuristic look into where this band is currently. Covering many different genres, an amalgam of sound, “You Are Mostly Nowhere” is a sign of the new life driving this band and it’s future. We're also happy to present our single "Ode to the Colossus: The Giant of Circumstance". Available on Spotify now!
