  1. Hey everyone! We are a group of UX (user experience) students in Vancouver designing a website for vinyl records stores. We would love it if you can please help us do a quick survey on your vinyl collection! The survey should only take around 3-5 minutes, and it closes on Wednesday October 9, 2019 at 8:00 am PST. Thank you in advance! Survey link: http://forms.gle/gDeiUbQdAp4ZMWZB6 EDIT: We got lots of great responses and decided to extend the survey to October 9, 2019 at 1:00 pm PST. Thanks everyone, keep them coming! EDIT 2: The survey is now closed. Thank you everyone again for your help. We will update this thread with the result once we finished organizing all the results. Thanks again and happy music listening! EDIT 3: RESULTS ARE IN! Please check it out: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1VTb70lHKIfo3-R66iKkcSJK9qxxJFHLl Thanks everyone again
  2. 19 Help Save Left of the Dial Records $730 of $3,500 goal Raised by 19 people in 7 hours Donate Now Share on Facebook Geoff Leamon SANTA ANA, CA In 2010 I finally realized my life's dream and opened up my own record store. For the past 3 1/2 years, Left of the Dial Records has been in downtown Santa Ana. Not long after moving to Santa Ana, my immune system went haywire and I developed quite a few serious autoimmune diseases. I am the owner and only employee. Friends and family have helped out when I was too sick to come in. I weathered through the best I could but medical bills have been a huge burden. Similar to living paycheck to paycheck, owning a small business can even be scarier because sometimes there's not even a paycheck at all when things get rough. All was heading in a positive direction until recently. A few weeks ago, I was in an accident coming home from work. I ended up in the ER and had to close the shop for a few days. I am now dealing with shady insurance adjusters and have not been paid one dime. I was rearended on the freeway while completely stopped. My car was totaled and have had to get a rental car that is costing me $250 a week. I have consulted a lawyer and hopefully this will eventally get resolved but I have used all my savings dealing with this nightmare. The medical bills are piling up and I am going on two months of not being able to pay the rent at the shop. I have amazing, understanding landlords but I can't keep doing this to them. Believe me, this is not easy to ask for. There are people that are far worse off than I am and I am fortunate and thankful for what I have in my life. I am blessed with an amazing family and friends. I have worked really hard to turn this shop into something that I am extremely proud of. I have some of the most loyal and amazing customers in the world! If you can donate anything, it would help tremendously! I can't begin to express how thankful and grateful I am!!! I don't have a ton to offer as thank you gifts but if you can donate $50 or more, we have shop T-Shirts we can give as a thank you. I am working on other things and will update if things change.
