  1. Foxmoulder, a legendary band from Toronto, ON. A screamo band deserving of the term "dark hardcore," Foxmoulder uses crushing bass tones, and bleak riffs under passionate vocal delivery. The group made a mark on the Ontario DIY scene, with the vocalist Em, running A Mountain Far Records, and the other members going on to form the much loved Respire. No Funeral is teaming up with our friends at Zegema Beach to bring you a discography cassette limited to 100 across 3 variants. Pick one up on 15.01.21. https://www.nofuneral.ca/
  2. Marvelous Mark - Buzzin' LP Out Friday, first 100 on transparent pink Formerly of Toronto’s blown-out noisepop superstars The Marvelous Darlings, Mark Fosco hasn’t exactly rested on his laurels since that band broke up. Instead, he’s picked up where they left off – now recording as Marvelous Mark, he dropped debut solo LP Crushin’ last year via Drunken Sailor, and it proved not only what a ludicrously talented songwriter he is, but also how much fun can be had with a guitar, a fuzzbox and a whole lotta hooks. Buzzin’ collects the two EPs that preceded that album – Husband Materi

  7. I don't know if there are any fans of Toronto folk artist/band The Weather Station (mostly a project for Tamara Lindemann), but their new album Loyalty comes out in May 2015, with a preorder here: http://www.paradiseofbachelors.com/pre-order-the-weather-stations-loyalty She has a truly amazing voice, and her songs show a lot of influence from Joni Mitchell, without trying to simply replicate Mitchell's sound. Tamara used to be a member of Bruce Peninsula (one of my favourite local bands for a long time), as well as a performer on Daniel Romano, Baby Eagle, and other local projects. Sh
