anthemforadoomed
Kettle Rebellion was the first "full-band" incarnation of Mischief Brew. Formed in 2001, after the "Mirth" demo was unleashed, the band only played five shows in Philly, recorded eight songs in 2002, and that was that. The songs were never mastered nor released. A few years later, some kids were staying at Erik and Denise's house and one of them swiped the final mixes. He made up his own song titles (because they weren't listed), and put it on Soulseek as a "rare Mischief Brew record." Back from the grave, Kettle Rebellion is here. And you can pre-order it in all its medieval anarchist renaissance fair glory from the band's label Fistolo Records: http://fistolorecords.bigcartel.com/product/kettle-rebellion-s-t-lp

anthemforadoomed
I thought for a second there was going to be a new Mischief Brew It's new old! And they're working on the new LP! They've been playing new songs at shows, so that's right around the corner. Also Erik and The Minor Arcana joined together to record a Tom Waits cover with him on vocals, which should be available as a digital download in a two days. Or if you want to spend $70 you can get the Minor Arcana's new record (all sorts of other goodies) and the cover EP on CD: http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/minorarcanarecord2 So yeah, new stuff soon! Satan
And this has seemed to disappear from the webstore! That didn't really take too long to sell out.
anthemforadoomed
They only pressed 250 so that isn't surprising. They sold so many the first day they regretted not pressing more. I know they had a few when they were just on tour. If anyone missed them it, you can try sending them an email and see if there are any scattered ones sitting around their house. thoughtriot
Got my copy yesterday, along with a nice note saying Mischief Brew tried to make it out to Australia but things didn't quite work out.....I would love them to tour down here! The LP is great too. Good quality sound for such an old recording.
Satan
This got repressed on "bronze" and is up for sale over at Interpunk. (I'd provide a link but these work computers only use internet explorer and it won't copy and paste onto the boards.) But I assure you, it's there.
