gabe005 Posted April 4, 2014 Share Posted April 4, 2014 Hey... I have a Technics SL-1800 mk2 and the speed seems to have gone off. With the pitch set to 0 the little dots on the side of the platter don't stand still anymore. It's not way off or anything, they just move ever so slightly now. Should I just adjust the pitch until I get them to stand still or is there more to it? Or do I trust the pitch at 0 and not the dots?Thanks! I would look into it a little more as Ive never done it. there are sometimes other potentiometers to set the 0 point and all of these controls do get dirty with time, the other option is that a capacitor or fixed resistor has gone out of tolerance but give the adjustable ones a clean first.
