nihac
After the worldwide release of SKELETON KEY's latest album "Gravity is The Enemy" in 2012, we are very proud to announce the vinyl re-issue of the band's previous album "Obtainium" to be released on our label Arctic Rodeo Recordings this summer. "Obtainium" has been out on Ipecac Records back in 2002 and will be out on vinyl for the first time. SKELETON KEY have done a lot of touring together with bands such as The Melvins, The Jesus Lizard, Primus and Tomahawk back then. drdrums70
So stoked for this! Matthias Bossi is a great drummer. I wish the Sleepytime catalogue would get pressed. Hopefully I have enough for this with the other PO's I'm throwing on.
nihac
At this moment, the album is being re-mastered for vinyl. The new master will hopefully be sent to the Arctic Rodeo Headquarters for approval tomorrow. If it all works out well, the vinyl will be cut on Monday. We are super excited. No fucking joke... would kill for a couple Sleepytime albums... wouldn't hurt if they pressed the other two Idiot Flesh albums, either. drdrums70
Yeah! Idiot Flesh would be rad. I've also been hoping 2 Foot Yard and the Tin Hat albums happen but I highly doubt it. Kind of surprised there isn't more attention being paid to this release. A really great band and such limited quantities...people should be all over this one. mameeshkamowskwoz
Obtained 'em both! Seriously, though... press Fantastic Spikes and make it 4LP with the remix album... that Dan the Automator version of The Needle Never Ends is hot, hot shit. drdrums70
Nice! I have to wait for another 3 hours to put my paycheck in the bank so I can order. Have a pink in the cart. Hopefully it doesn't sell out by then. And yes Fantastic Spikes. I'd pay a lot of money for a good pressing of that.
nihac
We are very sorry having to let you know that the release date of the vinyl version of SKELETON KEY’s “Obtainium” will have to be pushed back. Due to a few problems we had with the audio pre-master and the vinyl re-mastering of the album, there will be a delay of a few weeks unfortunately. August 15th is now set as new release date. This is safe and will definitely work out. We would like to apologize for any inconvenience, usually we are very reliable and do not announce release dates we are not able to hold on to. Thanks a lot for your unsderstanding and support!
