oojavaguru
After laying low the last few years, Pittsburgh punk band Code Orange Kids have returned, and with two very important announcements in tow. Though they've played under the moniker "Code Orange Kids" since 2008, the band’s now shortened its name to the simpler and more menacing "Code Orange". (No relation to Mountain Dew, sorry.) The foursome will release their first album under the new moniker, triumphantly titled I AM KING , on September 2nd via Deathwish Inc. The 11-track effort serves as the follow-up to 2012’s Love is Love/Return to Dust. Below, read a short message from the band, followed by the album’s official artwork and tracklist. xfactor675
what's up with the press release? Laying low for the last few years? previous record is hardly 1,5 year old + they toured non-stop since then.
dantheriver
I want this.
hallowken78
Funny, I was browsing the Deathwish roster last night out of boredom and noticed they were listed as simply 'Code Orange.'

distinctlydustin
I like that they are ditching Kids from their name. I listen to them but still need their first LP. Will be picking this up for sure.
radiatorhums
September seems so far away. I liked the old name a little better, but I'm sure I'll get used to the new one.

subplotofcrows
So excited for this. The record has been done for awhile and they did the Thinners of the Herd campaign sporadically so I was really confused on when and how more info would be revealed. I was wondering if the record was going to be called KING or Thinners Of The Herd, but I guess I was wrong on both haha. Still waiting on my free package from them from that website puzzle, too. shawnayala90
Stoked on this. The new song they've been playing for a bit is killer. I wish I would have been quicker on the TOTH stuff, anyone on here participate in that?

deletedunknown
I've always seen a lot of potential in this band, but even with the last album they still didn't quite hit it out of the park for me. Hope they meet the potential I think they can achieve for this one. It would go great with the name change.
Bladew1ll1s1sdead
Name change bothers me because this will be the only release I have that drops the Kids. Will PO asap.

distinctlydustin
I actually prefer the name change. Same. With UN in July and this in September, my other records will get neglected.
sonsofvipers
slightly prefer the name with Kids in it, but don't mind the change. really fucking excited for this album.
