Official Art Thread

If there's one thing that was beaten into me the last year of university, it is the power of silhouette poses. Wrestling moves would be great for that iconic kind of iconic thing. If you knew of any lower level wrestling or mma events you could attend, that would be an awesome place to do some gesture drawings. I may have to look into that myself.

 

A friend of mine, Aaron Hollander, posted this great sketch of Jiu Jitsu the other day. Brilliant stuff.

I haven't done much since high school, which is really sad. I've been wanting to get into painting again. 

 

Here's one of my favorites. It's 3' x 3' and took forever. My art teacher liked it so much that he asked if he could hang it up in his classroom. It's been there for the last five years.

I need to get back in touch with my old high school art teacher. I keep thinking it would be fun to do a talk or demo since I've graduated uni. Been feeling bummed lately though, so my consistency has suffered. Need to force myself into the groove again of drawing daily. Only working when "inspired" doesn't pay the bills, unfortunately.
