Charles Barkley
That looks pretty rad. I might actually attempt to go to RSD now.

simple_torture
I dunno if this is old news, but I was kicking around on SRC Vinyl yesterday and Junta is on sale for $35 (plus the standard 4.99 shipping). It's listed as backordered, but I got my shipping notification this morning (probably just printing a label, but all signs point to it going out soon): https://www.srcvinyl.com/music/vinyl/phish-junta-3xlp.html

simple_torture
Can anyone recommend some shows from 2002-2004 for someone who really likes Round Room? Thanks!
timsimmons
Oof. There went many great shows during this period. It was a difficult period to say the least. They were rusty coming back in 2003. 2004 summer was ok until Coventry. I I was at 2/20/03 and enjoyed it. RR was well represented. I think the IT festival summer of 03 was solid too. zdkaiser
6/26/2004 set 2 at Alpine Valley is rock solid. There were some good moments in 2004, for sure.
simple_torture
The Siket Disc has dropped pretty low on Amazon if you don't have it; I snagged it at $8.69 with prime shipping: https://www.amazon.com/Siket-Disc-180-Gram-Vinyl/dp/B0178ZWYFI/ref=sr_1_1_twi_lp__3?ie=UTF8&qid=1468935316&sr=8-1&keywords=siket+disc

simple_torture
Lots of people (at other boards and here) have recommended the same shows (like 2/20/03 and the IT Festival), so I've got some good listening lined up. Thanks!

Thanks! Dude, whatever you do, make sure you at least check out the jams I posted above. The SBD's are way better than the post-hiatus aud tapes, because you miss a lot of the finer details of Mike and Page's playing, but some of these you'll have to check out via Phishtracks unless someone else has the SBD's to hook up with here because I don't have all of them on my computer anymore. The 6/23/04 Crosseyed especially man.... that was the jam that hooked me on Phish forever, after the 6/19/04 Piper opened my eyes to their world. But these 2 are probably my top all-time jams.... the playing is just so magical. The ending section of this Gumbo is pure glory and transcendence... just total musical victory. And the ACDC Bag has my all-time favorite Mike Gordon slap licks at the start of the jam when Trey decides to hang onto the A minor chord and funk it out. And the Drowned.... oh man. White-hot Trey playing. I wish we had this kind of Trey nowadays.... it's amazing the things he used to be able to do. 7/22/03 Gumbo SBD: https://www.sendspace.com/file/ul4a0j 8/10/04 ACDC Bag SBD: https://www.sendspace.com/file/k0j0tk 6/20/04 Drowned jam SBD: https://www.sendspace.com/file/kv4wf1

I can't wait for Billy Breathes.... I just wish they didn't fucking gouge the living shit out of us for these things. I wanted the Rift album so badly for Fast Enough For You, but $60 fucking dollars at Magnaball or whatever it was, fuck off. I spun some tracks in the tent, and thought about trying to steal one because that price is straight robbery. Yeah, they sound great.... but so do all the post-rock albums I buy for $22. You take enough of my fucking money already.
warhenrecords
2/26/03 2/28/03 3/1/03 (attended) One big YEM sandwhich. Was at 8/10/04. Other than the Birds that show is ROUGH. Those two Great Woods shows solidified my decision to not attend Coventry.
