[PO] MASTODON - Remission DELUXE REISSUE BOXSET

So did they cram the 2 songs that were on the D side onto the other sides?  There doesn't seem to be enough dead wax on the D side of my copy to do an etching after the two songs (like that last Grails release had).

The box set does look pretty rad though.  I'm not sure what the cost of manufacturing this thing is, but 50$ seems a little steep.

Please do this for Leviathan.

Heck yeah, I'd be even more stoked with a Leviathan mat. They already pressed that badass looking white/gold Leviathan recently though. Would have been cool to do gold on all of these with a different color to match the artwork. Black/gold here, white/gold leviathan, red/gold blood mountain, purple/gold crack the skye, don't care about the others.

I've got a repress from 2010 on light purple/lavender and it sounds awesome. It was also from the presses that had the insanely sturdy Stoughton style jackets. I've noticed recent copies on black have come with very thin jackets. I don't understand why they had to include an etching. Is that really what they think people want? The music crammed into a space too small just to fit some dumbass etching?

Ordered the Gold/Black merge version.  I currently have a copy of Remission on a cool looking white/purple swirl, but it's probably the worst sounding record I own.  Surface noise and popping/cracking like crazy.  Hopefully the new one is not like that.

I own the Purple press and the recent black press and both sound pretty bad. Lots of surface noise and what sounds like clipping/distortion (which I assume is just the CD master pressed to vinyl). Hoping this is much better and hopefully not pressed at GZ.

...didn't have this album yet, so i had to pull the trigger.  even at that price.  looks pretty damn nice, though.

Honestly, as far as Masoton's prices go it doesn't even seem that bad...especially for what you're getting.

I've got the purple that I got in a trade that I've never listened to, but picked up to keep my 1st press black in nice shape. Maybe I'll regret that if the purple sounds so bad :/
