BITCH FALCON

Yes that's a band name. And it's a bloody neato album for a trio with such a huge sound. I sometimes got a bit of Marriages vibes from the singer, but less gloom more bloom in its more upbeat, yet somber approach.

Incredible album. I've had it on repeat since this weekend.

I don’t *think* this has been mentioned anywhere, but King Hannah’s debut EP comes out next Friday 11/20 and I think it’s gonna be goooooood based on the two singles. Heavy Sharon Van Etten/Mazzy Star/Twin Peaks vibes.

I normally don't care much about Bandcamp's AotD recommendations, but today's is a one-woman op called Hachiku from Australia and her music is rad.

Definitely dream-pop, and moreso the lo-fi bedroom pop end of things.

One of her live performances on YT has here covering The Cranberries' "Dreams" to perfection.

Can any of the shoegaze homies in here make a couple recommendations for me? Maybe @jhulud?

Looking for something like Nothing but with deeper/rougher/darker vocals. Anything good that comes to mind?

What about Holy Fawn?

You might like the band Lacing. Not sure if the vocals are darker or whatever, but they're heavy shoegaze too.

Lacing is great. Seconded!

Not similar to Nothing but here there are a few of suggestions for bands mixing shoegaze and heavy sounds:

https://grivo.bandcamp.com/album/elude

https://deadswords.bandcamp.com/album/enders

https://wearetimelost.bandcamp.com/

https://spotlights.bandcamp.com/

Have you checked out True Widow?  Prepare to  s l o w  d o w n / way downtempo

Some other heavygaze/gloomgaze/doomgaze besides Grivo:

Keep from RVA, they also have an earlier EP and two later LPs   love these guys!

Threading - Azure is heavy bliss

Guitaro - Futura Black

There are also quite a  few excellent bands with femme vocals like King Woman/ Miserable

These are 4 perfect suggestions.

I also back Lacing hard.

I’ve been banging my head against the wall to think of other bands that fit this sound.

The others mentioned have been good suggestions. Check out Nostalgist. Their sound is more akin to post-goth & darkwave but may be in line as well.
