Gippej
Me too. Didn't love the shift they were making but this album is still solid. Throwing shapes is one of my favorites. To me this is the sweet spot, when they started using more electronic sounds, but it's not overdone like it is on every album after this. dreamover
That purple is cool! That purple is fucking sick. that purple one is one of my favorite records I own in terms of both awesomeness of the vinyl itself and also how it meshes with the album art. just a splendid all-around package. Wow that purple is awesome! And it was only $17.99! RadDonut
RadDonut
The $17.99 price tag does put a lot of things into perspective when it comes to sales and prices. It really is a shame. Dreamover I'm curious, since I didn't buy these at the time they were being sold, what did you charge for Emery's The Weak's End?

Dreamover I'm curious, since I didn't buy these at the time they were being sold, what did you charge for Emery's The Weak's End? had to go back and look at some orders. They were $12.50 + $3 shipping for a single copy. That was before I knew people would spend $25 for a single LP. j/k j/k
CVHX
Is the ice version going to be sold later or am I missing something?
Royce
Honestly at the time $17.99 was too much for vinyl to me and i passed on this. Anything that was $20 bucks i would pass on too. Now i regret not picking up a lot of albums at those price ranges then.
jaba1337
So will this be 45rpm like the original issues, or 33rpm like the last pressing from 2010 that sounded like butt compared to the 45rpm issues? Will also be curious if there is really any difference in this "remaster" compared to the originals...

jhulud
I have to admit, those early days of VC and SH and Virgil were fun. No drama. No bullshit. A lot of great releases being put out and a real community. tape, vinylfilmaholic, Royce and 2 others
jhulud
The clear w/ magenta is still my favorite variant of the early bunch...

birdwell
Agreed on all fronts. I was bummed I didn't get a clear with magenta after seeing it, ordered clear with silver slap tree to match the artwork....and yeah, early VC days were tremendously awesome

coolio
question: does every pressing run at 45rpm? I heard from someone that the 3rd pressing ran at 33rpm. Just curious.
coolio
I was always a fan of the 4th pressing granite variant. I don't think this appeared in the pic above. Im happy to own a copy of the 1st pressing silver splatter. It sounds amazing. tetsuodaironman

mcpherson123
can't believe this has sold so many copies on Vinyl.. unreal. I can. Its their last great album and the one that finally made me stand up and take notice of MTB. Omni is nearly a pure turd save for 2 or 3 gems and Infinity Overhead barely saw two spins from me. I'll have to give that one another chance but POI kicked my ass right away. neilscalesse

SaviorSelf
I must be in the minority, but I loved Omni. Not my favorite of theirs but I thought it had an awesome electronica-dancey vibe to it.

Such a good looking record and a nice change from the standard splatters and inside outs that we see so often.
Rapidfiretollbooth
Bullmoose put it up for pretty much the same exact price but it doesn't say what color they are getting. http://www.bullmoose.com/p/16760891/minus-the-bear-planet-of-ice
