caninesapien
Anyone heard any of these? Very eager to get some of my favourite Can albums but no idea if they sound good or not.
iwokeinrelief
Have the recent represses started hitting US distros yet? I'm definitely interested in picking them all up, just not at import prices.
caninesapien
Not sure, I'm in the UK. What kind of import prices are there?
iwokeinrelief
I haven't seen these show up over here at all yet. So to buy them I'd have to buy them from Europe, get killed on the exchange rate, and then add like $18 to ship them (with some savings in ordering them together). Import price on the last round was around $45, but could definitely been gotten for cheaper at times. I need to check with Ed at Eclipse to see what his cost is on these, he tends to be the cheapest. iwokeinrelief
Oh, I was wrong, Bleep has them now for $29 each. Still checking to see if I can get them cheaper, but will be picking them up soon one way or another.
roygbiv
I got the Boxset that was out around Christmas time with all the re-issues in, amazing set.
8ight
What's a good album to check out from Can? I remember listening to them back in high school cause a friend gave me a few of their albums on MP3, but I don't think I ever listened to it them that much back then. Rev. Mike
Tago Mago, Ege Bamyasi, and Soon Over Babaluma are the best Can albums, but don't limit yourself to those. After '77 or so the returns diminish precipitiously. 8ight
caninesapien
Tago Mago and Ege Bamyasi were the albums I started with but Monster Movie is a good place to start too. Future Days is great as well. 8ight
caninesapien
So I picked up the Tago Mago LP in London for my birthday. I played it yesterday but was too tired to pay a lot of attention. I will spin this again tonight and post how the pressing is.
