forgeagain
Figured this was probably worth sharing if so. With the emo revival in full swing people gotta be getting down on this stuff again. Just uploaded this video of short, but complete sets from Rescue and Grayson from the 2002 tour we did for our split 7".
scottheisel
Aw man, here I am thinking they announced a reunion show or something. Womp womp. I saw Rescue open for the Velvet Teen (after they had their gnarly van accident) and they were so awesome. I also saw 'em open for Braid's reunion tour in 2004 at St. Andrews, and that was a bit of a rough set.
forgeagain
Yeah that was later era RESCUE. Definitely darker and less like the "emo revival" stuff blowing up now. Sadly, I can tell you right now there will more than likely never be a reunion. Al is on some new age native American trip on the east coast. All the other guys are still playing in bands (Child Bite, Jamaican Queens). Might be some vinyl reissues happening at some point though. But hey, this is a sweet short set from 2002 so enjoy that! steventangent
Awesome. I will watch this later. I think the last time I ever caught them was after the Volume Plus Volume reissue came out. ...or it may have been a show with Bear vs Shark. I can't remember shit. Either way, lots of fun memories. I can't for the life of me remember what they've released on vinyl, other than I have the Grayson split.
forgeagain
There are a few versions of it, but that's the entirety of Rescue's vinyl discography. 100-120 or so copies with vellum envelope on baby blue with labels on wrong side (tour version) 100 copies with vellum envelope on baby blue w/correct labels (mailorder/tour version) 200 copies on baby blue w/standard cover 200 copies on black w/standard cover Probably some "promo cover" copies on black or maybe mis-labeled blue. giantfortune
I took a bunch of music from my roommates hard drive and this was amongst all of it. Will dig into it.
codeine
Yeah, I have the Rescue / Grayson split 7" I think it's the blue /200 and I have VPV+ and Flamingo Minutes, both on CD. Was pretty huge into them back in the day and I know there at least a couple other people on the board who haven't checked into this thread yet that are familiar w/ them.
