"Dual" brand turntables (edited title, sorry)

Recommended Posts

I have an old Dual 504 that I use as my secondary turntable. It's a decent table. The plastic they used to make it though is a little chintzy. And from what I've read that was common with all of their turntables at that time. I haven't had any problems with mine though.

I don't know if that price is good or not. I picked my Dual up for like 10 bucks at a thrift store.

Duals are hit or miss, especially the 1200 series. See if they'll give you a "trial" period or a demo.

This.

Most Duals are pretty reliable if a little workmanlike and most have some strange cartridge mounts.

It might be a bit of an improvement over your Sony if it's all in good working order but I'd want to haggle on that price.
