backpackoat
The new Justin Vernon/Astronautalis/S. Carey album, De Oro, is streaming in full without warning, pretty cool.http://pitchfork.com/advance/509-de-oro/ Can be purchased at the following link, ships in October: http://ambientmerch.com/collections/tgnp/Jason-Feathers I'm really liking what I hear, kind of a Gayngs-ey vibe, but I get a boner for anything Justin Vernon. GeorgePeluso
I'm really diggin' the vibe here. Sounds a lot grimier / funkier than Gayngs, but definitely a similar vein. Will be picking this one up for sure. That pic of Carey with the egg roll is glorious http://cdn2.pitchfork.com/advance/art/1153/f4eb02cf.jpg
backpackoat
I'm really, really enjoying the instrumentals on this. Vocals are strange at times but I think that's what they were going for. Funny seeing them all blinged out in their alter egos.
Vector53
I could really do with a instrumental version of this album. I'm getting that same vibe with Captain Murphy where I prefer just the instrumentals cause I really don't care much for altered vocals at all haha. _stretts
I have very little clue as to where you guys are hearing gayngs in this, maybe 5% of the album later on but not enough to say it sounds anything remotely like gayngs
GeorgePeluso
I feel like it resembles the Gayngs remixes much more than the actual LP
UltraBlue
Did anyone pick up the LP? Discogs lists it as "Gold" but nothing else lists it as that, so I was wondering if there is a standard black and a gold variant? Pretty big Astro fan and am trying to collect all variants of his stuff.
