danthemjfan23 Posted November 15, 2014 Share Posted November 15, 2014 so yes, hello. long time no see. i'll get the important shit out of the way first, and if you want to keep reading after that, cool. i'm selling a bunch of old and rare alkaline trio stuff from my personal collection. there are also things from their related bands and projects. i posted over a hundred pictures in a facebook album with prices on everything and notes stating any flaws in condition. if you're interested in checking everything out, click the link: Alkaline Trio records/merch i used to post on VC pretty regularly from 2007-2011 (hence my post count being so high for somebody who hasn't been around in like 4 years). since then, i've started a record label called Artistic Integrity Records and have put out 27 releases so far. some vinyl, some CDs, some cassettes, and some digital only. anyway, i think i'm a pretty reputable dude, and hopefully some of my old buddies can vouch for me here if anybody has any skepticism about dealing with me. to answer a question i'm sure a few of you who have known me for a long time will ask: no, i'm not breaking up my collection. all of these records are doubles that i had been holding on to and i just don't want them anymore. i think they're priced pretty fairly, considering their condition and rarity. the t-shirts, i just don't care about anymore. i kept about 10-15 of the super rare ones for my personal collection, but i realized a few years ago that i'd never be able to keep up with the insane amounts of new shirts alkaline trio releases every year, and i don't really wear them anyway, so why hold on to them when other people might give them a good home? that's what i'm hoping for here. i could put all of this shit on eBay and probably make a decent amount more than selling here, but i'd rather have these things go to people who are super into them, not just the highest bidder. if you guys are curious about any of the releases i've put out through my label, you can head over to the bandcamp page and stream everything for free: Artistic Integrity Records bandcamp feel free to poke around there, too. hopefully out of the 27 things i've released so far, you'll find one or two of them enjoyable. i've also got a deal going right now where if you want to buy the entire AIR discography digitally, you can do it for cheap as fuck. like 65% off. i'll try to check this thread as frequently as possible over the next few weeks, but BY FAR the easiest way to get in touch with me is to shoot me an e-mail at [email protected]. if you want to personally add me on facebook, by all means, go for it. i do still have a pretty decent wants list compiled here, for those interested: A Photographic Journey Through My Wants List i think that's all i've got for now. hopefully i'll talk to some of you soon. thanks for reading all of this if you made it this far. -dan jtcohenour 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

danthemjfan23 Posted November 17, 2014 Author Share Posted November 17, 2014 oh, also! everybody be careful in dealing with the following user: jeffjacker689 jeffjack689 he sent me an e-mail about the Skiba guitar, claiming he had one for sale. gave me a price, and told me he wanted me to send him that amount in Amazon gift cards. i told him that i didn't feel comfortable with that since we were dealing with hundreds of dollars, but that i'd have been more than willing to send via paypal. i also requested pictures of the guitar he claimed to have. he claimed he didn't use paypal and refused to provide pictures. "nah, i'm good" was his exact response to that request. i responded with "nice try, slick." to let him know i knew he was trying to scam me, to which he responded "Fuck you . I know who you are don't worry". so a real stand-up gentleman we're dealing with here. and a mastermind of a sleuth to play the "i know who you are" card when 1. i'm a public figure 2. i posted a link to my company's website 3. i posted a link to my personal facebook page 4. i include a business card with my phone number in every record, cd, and cassette i sell either way, just wanted to warn you guys about him before you attempt to deal with him in any capacity. onlettingjoe, Duff, accousticgoddess and 1 other 4 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I did ask him to pay via a method other than paypal since I closed my account with paypal a few months back after they managed to compromise my bank/card info a few times. He conveniently left out the fact that I offered to trust him and ship it to him right away if he covered shipping up front and offered to let him pay the balance after the guitar was delivered. But he decided to be a rude bastard so I did some research and found him to be a con artist who ripped people off with that split release and a few other times. Which is why I sent him a "fuck you" message. So to anyone who isn't this dude: if you want to buy one of the skiba guitars let me know. danthemjfan23 Posted November 17, 2014 Author Share Posted November 17, 2014 i'm not sure what "over 25 people" you're referring to that i've ripped off, but if you feel like you were, i'm sorry. i didn't make people pay in advance, actually. i've been adamant in the 3 years that i've run this label to NOT offer any pre-orders. i waited until i had everything in hand, as many people can attest, before i put anything up for sale. i shipped everything personally, so unfortunately there was no way for me to check an individual tracking on one of the literally hundreds of orders i had within the first 4 weeks of it being released. i haven't had any other complaints, and the ones i did get were rectified immediately. if you want me to ship you out a replacement copy, i'm more than happy to do that. even though we're almost 4 years removed from this supposed incident. shoot me a message with your mailing address and i'll send you out a copy tomorrow when i make my post office run. danthemjfan23 Posted November 17, 2014 Author Share Posted November 17, 2014 i mean, are you for real dude? i'm upset because i wasn't getting the deal i was looking for? i'm willing to pay a lot more than $400 for one of these guitars, so that's just flat out wrong. you claimed just a minute ago that you were willing to send out the guitar as long as i covered the shipping cost up front. first of all, that isn't true. you can go back and re-read your e-mails since they're now conveniently accessible in this thread. but also, i find it a little coincidental that the dollar amount you were looking for to ship a guitar (which normally costs WAY more than $15, especially if you would have insured it) was the exact dollar amount you spent on the Mike/Dan split. $10 for the record + $5 for shipping = ....... $15. good thing i stole the money of 25+ people and paid for those online detective courses! danthemjfan23 Posted November 17, 2014 Author Share Posted November 17, 2014 i just went through my excel spreadsheet of every single person who bought a Mike/Dan split directly from me, and nobody with the last name of Jackson ordered from me. only one person named Jeff did, and that was Jeffrey Cheek, who received copy #0025/1000. i noticed you signed one of your posts here as "Jay" so i looked that up, too. only person to match was Jay Holiday, who ordered a blue copy and a black copy, and he received #0051 and #0351/1000, respectively. i did sell hundreds of copies to Interpunk, ShopRadioCast, and gave Dan Andriano 100 copies - 10% of the pressing - to sell, so it's possible you ordered from them and your order wasn't fulfilled. even still, if you send me your mailing address today or tonight, i'll STILL ship you out a free record.
