+hecollec+or
It's so dark and moody. It's not heavy and aggressive. For sure a dreary winter day listen. Well I have many of those coming up in NY so I'll dive back into it. I was in a weird place back when it came out so it's worth another listen for sure. negavinyl
Holywood is a masterpiece imo. Portrait through Holywood are damn near perfect. I'll amend my statement to concur. I enjoy all his albums on some level but nothing touches the early days. I would like to see him play more than 2-3 songs off this new one live. Plarocks
Down to $16.99 on Amazon. Eh, I decided to spend the extra dollar and pre-order from Bull Moose. Given the shoddy packaging that I have been receiving from Amazon recently, I would rather give the extra to those guys. I also added a few things I wanted to the cart and got free shipping. mikeytags
Eat Me Drink Me has been my favorite since Mechanical Animals.Same here. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this album is highly underrated. However, I think Tim Skold is the real star of the album. His guitar work is fantastic. downisthenewup87
Just want to chime in and say that I too consider Holywood a masterpiece. Just from a cultural standpoint alone it was a vital album in the post-Columbine world (I'm from Denver). And musically, it was the perfect hybrid of AC and MA. I think it's telling that Allmusic.com gives it a 4 1/2 stars. Everything post-Hollywood has been hit or (mostly) miss. I'm in the camp that considers AOTG pretty solid but after that.... Eat Me Drink Me is the only album I'd call anything but bad. EMDM is an interesting album simply because Manson let the musicians in the band run a bit wild and so the album features a lot more jamming out/soloing than in any other effort. All that said, Third Day is the first Manson single to catch my ear in years. Seems like he finally might be pushing forwards sonically (something that used to be a regular occurrence). Color me intrigued. Mourning Wood and verb1999
njpunkmusic
sadly not diggin this album upon 1st listen. Bummed to because I've enjoyed all his previous work. Holywood, Mechanical Animals, Born Villian, and even Golden Age are my favs.
bigdz68
So is the regular cheaper edition also pressed by RTI on 180 gram?
NotoriousTIMP
Eat Me, Drink Me was a train wreck and it was clear that not having Twiggy in the band hurt the music big time.
NotoriousTIMP
This looks to be an indie store only promo. I'm heading over to Easystreet Records here in Seattle to pre-order mine and pick up my 10"
kannibal
That kind of stuff is cool. I wonder if those of us who actually preordered from the official store as soon as we could because we're fans and don't need rare promo incentives to pre-order get this as well? I'd say that if it was pre-ordered from MM's site, then you have a good chance. If it was pre-ordered from Amazon, most likely not. Easystreet Records had about 20 copies of this 10" and they wouldn't budge on giving me an extra copy
hallowken78
So it looks like the deluxe version of the vinyl has 3 additional tracks (13 total) and is 180g while the standard edition is 120g. I haven't seen it confirmed yet, but my guess is that the standard edition only comes with 10 tracks like the standard cd.
webdoggy
Damn, I'm not able to find a copy of that 10" at my local stores. Bummer.
bobbydrake33
My local store has these, but you need to pre order the regular version. They didn't have any info on the deluxe. It's $22.99 + tax if anyone is interested, they had 6 left today.

hallowken78
That's looking good Travis - what's the pricetag?. Do you know if all versions of this on vinyl include 13 tracks? And DL cards?
Rottengoth
My store got them in but they had shipped the records facing up in the box so the sides are crushed, ruined.

tonyfranciosa
this is unexpectedly good and I haven't liked anything he's done since Holy Wood. definitely grabbing the non-deluxe. $16.99 @ Amazon is kind of a steal these days.
