Haha, luckily I'm not a completist or a variant collector. I don't even bother with 7" anymore unless it's a band I'm really crazy about.

I always hear people say they don't like 7", but I love them. But yea, I don't really understand the whole every variant collecting unless its your favorite band ever, or they just all look incredible.

If I were djing out or whatever I'd probably like 7" more because it would be easier to transport them, I just don't want to pay however much for 2ish songs and have to flip after each song. To each their own, but that's why I don't like them. Sometimes if it's a really special song to me and it's not available on a full length I'll grab one.

I get you, I usually go for 7" EPs and wouldn't really pay more than $7 for one.

Sometimes I buy my "really special songs" on 7" just BECAUSE they are really special. It's just kind of a thing to me. But like a lot of people, I rarely play 7". They're like the baseball cards of "the hobby"

Agreed on the 7". I actually wouldn't mind them if I had a quality place/unit/thing to store them in/on. Currently the 23 I own are in a drawer with my socks. Vinyl Storage 101.

I actually got really "lucky" with this. My wife and I used random 45s from old jukeboxes as placecards for our wedding (music-themedish) and I have about seven wooden 7" crates that each hold around 100 7"s. I would sell some, but my wife has such sentimental attachment to wedding stuff I can't even put stickers on the crates...anyway I have a seemingly neverending supply of 7" storage. :D
