topher
http://www.stereogum.com/1738107/david-pajo-shares-thumbs-up-from-hospital-after-suicide-attempt/news/ I'm surprised this hasn't been posted yet. Very scary stuff, but it sounds like he will be okay, and is in a better frame of mind. Hope this dude can get the help he needs.

jhulud
His suicide note, which he posted on his site for everyone to see and which thankfully alerted people to things and action was taken to help him, is fuckin' heartbreaking. As a sidenote. The way some of the music "news" sites have chosen to run this "story" is downright despicable. Suicide in itself is a very personal and touchy subject for all involved, and the way these sites have sensationalized Pajo's ordeal a la TMZ is incredibly irresponsible. And just because they post a blurb about the National Suicide Prevention Hotline doesn't absolve them from the gross misconduct of having posted the news and how it was posted. 213041284s, agaetisbyrjun and nothingnatural

aflycon
Fuck TMZ. I don't know how they stay in business. I hope he makes a full recovery, and is able to face whatever is troubling him.

(Mainly so I can make you're not referring to the story I wrote.)
jhulud
Scott, your story was well-put. Objective and respectful. Surprisingly enough, so was Pitchfork's.

jhulud
Did TMZ do a story? Can't find it if so. No. No. No. I just said that some sites act like TMZ when they post "news". Especially something as delicate as this.
Shameful Dread
I saw this at while working and wish I hadn't. Had to hold back tears and probably looked like a weirdo. I'm glad he made it and hoping he can find some peace. As far as I am concerned, Pajo and the other fellas in Slint are god damn national treasures. serious business
His suicide note, which he posted on his site for everyone to see and which thankfully alerted people to things and action was taken to help him, is fuckin' heartbreaking. I have to respectfully disagree with this. The things he went through and the feelings he had are heartbreaking. His suicide note on the other hand, reads as petty and vengeful. I see people who commit suicide all the time in my line of work, and I feel terrible for them and their families, but most who actually wish to kill themselves don't write a suicide note or tell anyone, and if they do it is usually found near their body with instructions of how to take care of things once they're gone, not broadcast to everyone in the world with a good heaping of spite. Seems to me he wanted to put his ex-wife in her place, and have as many people as possible see it, and it sickens me. I do agree that it should not be covered the way it has been, though. jhulud
OK. Reading back on the note. Yeah. It is very angry and vengeful. But still harrowing to see the bad place he was in at that moment that drove him to attempt suicide. Shameful Dread
